"They leveled our patio and we were extremely impressed with the professionalism of the crew. Unfortunately, the patio sank a couple of inches within a month and they returned again, at no cost, and re-leveled. We are hoping that it will stay but, whatever happens, it is not the fault of their expertise but rather the ground continuing to shift. That is our personal assessment."

"I was please with the estimator, Boston's knowledge and willingness to walk me through the process and unfamiliar territory of basement waterproofing. He was very knowledgeable and answers so many questions, at the time of the walk through as well as in the days after when I had questions after receiving other bids and trying to compare them. In the end, it was just my low budget that kept me from going with Terra Firma. I thought their system was excellent, and would have worked well with my basement, but I had to opt for a less expensive design."

"Two workers showed up on time, pleasant and informative, raised broken areas to level the patio, cleaned up all debris, done in about 2 hours, results fully matched expectation, holes drilled in patio to inject foam were filled so very little appearance remained. No new cracks occurred. Workers referred us to person who can fill and repair cracks. Thank you for an amazing job well done!"

"Scheduling was fantastic. They were more than pleasant and flexible when I had to reschedule twice to coincide with the arrival of the new window. They explained the process and rates to me (setup, cutting, clean-up) in detail and that the job usually takes about 3 hours. The price according to friends and others was the best around. The job was to be done early in the morning. The gentleman arrived a few minutes early and we reviewed again what was to be done. First concern was that it was my understanding that something would be put up to catch the mess that was made. I guess I was wrong since I was told it was my responsibility. I had to run out for tarps and throw something up. Then there was also a small problem with the measurements I made but he was very diligent with getting it right. Cutting seemed to go well but things were a little slow because of the measuring and the foundation was so thick. After close to 2-2.5 hours I had to run to work and after talking to the man it seemed like everything would be wrapped up soon but to have my wife call if there are any problems. I also said I don't want you to rush, just do a quality job. But after he finished cutting he left without cleanup. The place was covered in dust, a 30 gallon container of some water and cement mixture, and a couple hundred pounds of two large concrete slabs. He told my wife and assumed I didn't want to pay the extra hour for the cleanup and that it was very easy for me to cleanup myself. Cleanup wasn't easy especially since the window installers were coming the next morning and the slabs were blocking the work area. It took me some 7 hours to the wee hours of the morning to break up the concrete small enough for me to haul outside. Even though I made a make shift enclosure to keep in the dust, there was fogs of dust in my basement for days. I felt like a coal miner with black lung. It took weeks before all the dust was finally settled and vacuumed up. Overall, I think it just came down to this one worker not wanting to clean up or just assuming I could do it. I would still recommend the place for the price and reliability. I would just be very clear about what's expected."

"They did a fantastic job. WOW. <br /> My house was built in 1980 and has a concrete slab for the first floor rather then wood construction.  The slab itself has slowly been sinking to varying degrees since it was built in 1980, the foundation is not the problem and has remained in its original position.  The problem I believe is that the builder did not compact the soil inside of the foundation adequately prior to pouring the slab.  About 3/4 of the slab on the 1st floor had sunk, creating a slope anywhere from 4-8 inches depending on the room of the house.  Robbins was able to raise the slab back to its original height.  The floors are level for the first time since I bought it in 1985.  They did a series of drillings in the living room, kitchen, bath, laundry and garage.  All of these rooms had noticeable sinking.  Robbins was able to fill the voids under the concrete and literally lift the floor back to its original height.  Watching the process was amazing.  Robbins team worked fast and efficiently through the process.    <br /> Additionally, there was a slab that had cracked and broke into 3 pieces on the porch and walkway attached to the front of the house.  The porch/walkway had been done on one concrete pour originally.  At the corner of the porch is where the breaks were.  Robbins installed 2 pins to raise the corner up about 8 inches.  This had to be done because the slab on that part of the porch was above the grade of the soil, so there hadn't been adequate support there from original construction.  The remainder of the porch had sunk similar like the inside of the home and was able to be slabjacked.  The porch now is level.   Doing this has also corrected the roofline of the porch itself and has increased the street appeal. Now when looking at the home you don't see broken down old home with a broken porch, you actually notice the house.  <br /> Robbins and Co., along with their team of workers did a fantastic job. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"moutRussell is the most professional carpenter I've ever worked with, hands down. I'm an attorney, and would say he has a far higher standard of professionalism than 90% of my colleagues. Russell is trustworthy and terrific to work with. <br /> I was bid a "not to exceed" rate for a very complicated carpentry trim job in our kitchen. Russell estimated it would take 40 hours and we agreed he would bill hourly, but not to exceed 40 hours. He ended up spending an extra two solid days on the project and never even hinted at being miffed at the extra unpaid work.. He delivered exactly what he said he would, even though it took almost a third more time than he'd anticipated. <br /> Call Russell. He has a wide range of skills (used to be a captain of a salmon fishing vessel). Be warned however: I was "trapped" more than once by Russell, who had fascinating stories about Alaska and mountaineering while I should have been heading to work :-)  <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Shelton, WA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
