"A technician from Hawthorne Plumbing came at the appointed time and did fabulous work! The shower drains perfectly now. Other vendors were quoting me in the $250-300 range, which seemed overpriced for about 20 minutes of work. Hawthorne had a "single drain special" for about $80, which was reasonable."

"We had the most remarkable experience with Ross Heating and recommend them highly. We were desperate as our a/c went out on a Friday and got a call back from Dustin who came out the next day. He assessed the problem (bad compressed) and made a “quick fix”, and got the a/c working. Our experience with everyone at Ross has been outstanding, including Damien Ross, who stopped out to provide a quote on a new unit. "These guys are great. I met with Mike first, and explained the extent of the work that needed to be done. I had two bath tub/showers ripped out and replaced due to mold and poor installation. The master bathroom was awful, and had to be stripped down to the studs, and even then studs had to be replaced because the rot and mold was so bad. The second bathroom wasn't nearly as bad but was still in desperate need of replacement. The initial quote seemed steep but we knew that it was a big job so we hired them. We were told that it would take likely 2 weeks to do both bathrooms and that seemed completely reasonable. The job actually took 4. It was a bit inconvenient, as we had guests at the house, and having 4 people share one bathroom for a week was rough. Actual work time was probably only 6 or 7 days, but there was a lot of time in between where we never saw them due to waiting on parts, emergency calls for other customers, etc. The bathrooms were a health hazard and had to be replaced, and having never had to hire a plumber before I figured what I was paying was a fair price. After talking to the gentleman who did the majority of the work, I found out that the cost of parts and labor spent on my house was significantly less than what I was quoted and even he was surprised to learn what we were paying. The guys were very professional and accommodating and I'm very happy with the work that was done. The new bathrooms look fantastic, and I feel much better about allowing my children into them since I know there's no more mold and it's safe for them to be in there. I am just disheartened to learn from someone who works for the company that I was being overcharged and there was nothing I could do about it, and nor could he."

"Amazing experience! Our hot water heater stopped working. The company was able to get a technician out to Carson City that same morning, who promptly diagnosed the problem (a bad thermostat). We have an unusual brand of water heater and he didn't have that type of thermostat with him, but he made calls and was able to find one in Truckee. Somehow they got the part delivered from Truckee to their office in Sparks, and the technician made a second trip out to our house that afternoon to install it. This was definitely service above and beyond!"
