He did not try to tell me I need a new furnace like the other companies, even though that is mostly his business (installing new systems). He fired up my furnace and said I can definitely keep using my current furnace if I want to...that it was not necessary to replace it. If I decide to get a new furnace, I'm using him for sure!"

"B&D Plumbing and Heating was great to work with.  Our furnace went out overnight and we woke up to a cold house.  I called at 7am when they opened and they were out to look at the furnace around 8.  They quickly found the problem and offered to repair it.  However, the repair cost was over half the cost of a new furnace so it made more sense to put a new furnace in.  They were able to get a new furnace in the next day and provided us with several electric heaters to help keep our house warm until they new unit was installed.  We also decided to replace/upgrade several other items including our A/C unit (it had been leaking Freon) and our water heater as both were aging and not keep up with our demand.  In the end, we spent more than we originally wanted to although that was our choice as B&D offered several pricing options for us to consider.  The service technician (Nick) was great and didn't pressure us at all.   I would definitely recommend B&D as they were upfront and honest with pricing and offered several lower and higher cost options and adequately explained the pro-cons of each option.

"I called Randy Lane Plumbing after feeling like I got completely ripped off by a different company. The person I talked to on the phone was very nice, and even though I had told them that I didn't need work done, they took the time to talk me through what had already been done at my house and what their costing would have been on it. With the "bad" company, I paid $424 for 80 minutes of work and $30-$60 of parts, and when I questioned the bad company that did it to ask for itemization on how this $424 total was calculated, got yelled at for questioning their pricing structure. Randy Lane was upfront about what their labor rates would have been, and I would have probably gotten the work done for $280 or less if done by them. I wish I had worked with them (and will give them a try in the future), and really appreciate that they took the time to talk me through their pricing."

"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely call him again if we need any computer services."

"Service person Joe did great work. He is confident, interested in the work, understands what he's doing, and is able to explain what he's doing. He took the time to let me know just how to think about the unit even though. I couldn't ask for more. If you want to gain some confidence in your central air unit, I would guess that "rejuvenation" is the package to go with."

"I needed this work done fast to accommodate a new washer and dryer that was arriving in a few days. Mark answered the phone on the second ring, came by and looked at the project the next day and was able to starting working on it right away. It was a 2 day project and by the time the other plumbers I called finally got back to me,  Mark was almost finished!  He is very knowledgable and advised me on a freezing pipe situation as well. He is very customer service focused and understands that if you are calling a plumber you probably want to speak to a plumber vs. voicemail. He was recommended to me by a neighbor and he will be the first plumber I call from now on.
