Small jobs welcome

"I can’t say enough good things about this company! I called about my water heater and they showed up the same day, within just a few hours. Rile took a look at it, and for some reason it just started working again. The best part? They refused to charge me anything. You don’t find that kind of honesty every day. Amazing customer service, and they’ll definitely be my go-to for anything plumbing related from now on. Thank you so much, Rile. You’re the best!"

"Called Muddy Water Plumbing, to fix a broken pipe under my house. Talked to a gentleman named Alan. He was very friendly and polite over the phone. Once he heard the details. He said he would be out as soon as possible. One hour later he showed up to my house. Once under the house. He found multiple bakes. Not only did he replace and fix what was needed. He also winter proofed the pipes. I would recommend Muddy Water Plumbing To everyone. Very friendly. Affordable pricing. Reliable and fast acting. And a matter fact, I called him back out two more times. Replace a water heater and fix a leak under my sink."

"The job was to remove and replace a defective well pressure tank, pressure switch and associated lines. There was no selection for this under the Specific Project pulldown, so I selected Plumbing for Home Addition. Anyway, Josh did a great job and went the extra mile of replacing some existing pvc pipes/fittings with copper and brass. I didnâ t get a chance research price, but for the quality of the work performed and the importance of getting it done in a timely manner, it was worth it."

"We called Kirkland plumbing as we recently had issues with water in the drip pan of our water heater, as well as water hammer noises from our pipes. Additionally, we had what appeared to be a pressure issue causing the icemaker line from the wall to bank against the wall and fridge at odd hours. <br /> They  showed up at the scheduled time and got to work.  They let us know that the pressure coming into our house is 100 when i should be 50. They discussed options and recommended trying the less expensice option first, which was to put water hammer arresters. They also discovered that the valve on the water heatrer was not functioning properly which caused the water in the drip pan. <br /> We have always found Kirkland to be fair and to do good work. <br />"

"Colin came out right away to do the estimate. He provided a best case-worst case range and itemized everything in the estimate which was appreciated. Its nice having someone provide full transparency upfront, that type of transparency prevents those unpleasant surprises down the road and avoids hard feeling for both parties. Aaron and Vance came for the install and didn't waste a minute of time, they had everything done ahead of schedule, cut only a tiny bit of sheetrock behind the stove for the new line, and didn't leave a scrap of any waste behind. They even used a few extra spare minutes to help push in and level our new stove which WAS appreciated. They provided a new gas line connection hose between the wall and the stove, the ones purchased from the big box store do NOT meet code (Warning to others when buying a gas range, check with your plumber before buying a connection hose from the store). Overall great job and will use them again!"

"Hull scheduled Brad to come out the same day I called. He was punctual, polite and professional. He thought through our floor plan to make a great guess on a cut in ceiling to get a good look at the pipes. He tried his hardest to locate the source of the moisture. And although he wasn't able to find a "smoking gun" to solve our problem, he gave us some good ideas of other sources of the moisture (likely not plumbing). We will definitely call Hull again in the future."

"He was knowledgeable, neat, and professional. Once he found the leak, he replaced that link of pipe and cleaned up everything afterward. I would definitely use this service again. <br />"

"I was rehabbing a house and I placed the kitchen drain line too high up under the sink. Pat and John inspected the plumbing situation and also the photographs I provided that I had taken prior to my closing up the wall with drywall. They were able to relocate my kitchen sink drain to connect to a slightly different drain system and thus solved my problem. I'm fairly handy and I would have eventually figured out this repair on my own, but I think they saved me an hour or two of work and another hour of shopping at the local home center store. They also installed all of the drainage pipes under my kitchen sink included with this price. <br /> <br />Pat also talked me out if replacing the seals in both of my outdoor faucets. He explained in detail how these faucets were not leaking as I had suspected but just rather draining slowly. He advised against replacing them. <br /> <br />Pat had come out last year and installed a cut off valve for the gas service to my kitchen range and the cost was $140. The overall setup he installed was too large to allow a gas range to be pushed back the wall in the kitchen as the setup stuck out too far. When he returned to fix the under sink issue he flipped the gas pipe direction 180 degrees which allowed the gas range to be closer to the wall but it also put the cut off valve on the bottom of the gas pipe instead of the top and the range was still 4" or so from the wall. In order to turn off the gas for the kitchen range, I would have to literally lean over the kitchen counter so far as to be in a "dive" position behind the range just to turn off the gas. This is not good. He has been here twice about this gas range and the first time he built a cut off arrangement too large to allow the stove within 6-8" of the wall. Now the range is still 4" from the wall but the cut off valve is now on the bottom of the apparatus he built. I will have to either correct this situation myself or hire another plumber to redo what he did. <br /> <br />Pat is very professional but I thought the prices he charged were way too high. Too high for me to consider hiring him again."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Spencer, OK

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
