"I filled out a form on Angi about an AC problem, and Calfo was one of the first to call. The call was initially a little bit confusing because they answered the phone by name-dropping HomeAdvisor, but not the name of their company, until I asked where they were calling from. Regardless, my AC wasn't working and they were the first one to get a technician to my location. The technician quickly made a determination as to the repairs to be made. The price was significantly higher than I expected for a simple capacitor replacement, but it was Friday afternoon and it was hot outside. The technician showed me the estimate on their iPad, then clicked through to another screen where I signed. I asked the technician to perform the immediate repairs necessary and give me a quote for full system replacement. Before getting my quote for full system replacement, the technician asked me to fill out my information on a form. As I was filling out the form, I saw that SSN was being asked for, and noticed that it was a credit application. This was not made clear to me before I was asked to fill it out. I declined to fill it out further because I was not interested having a hard-pull on my credit report when I simply wanted a quote. When I received a signed copy of the invoice for the repair work performed (which I didn't get until I asked about it the next day), they had included an additional charge that wasn't mentioned in the price I was given in person, and one that I certainly did not see when I signed. Despite this, my signature was inserted on the bottom of this electronically generated form. Given my experience with their repair service, I am not going to hire Calfo for replacement of my AC system. Also, their quote lists minimal detail compared to other quotes I have received. Quotes they provided don't have any details about the specific parts replaced, nor do they mention any particular brands or model of equipment. Their prices were also higher than price ranges others quoted, and given the surprise repair charges and lack of detail in the quote, I do not have a good impression of their honesty."

"I asked Rodney if nhe would instal a humidfier when he was installing the new furnace.. He did a great job on both installs. I'm a senior citizen and I have a Home Shield contract that only gave me a small amount for the new furnance. Rodney was ready and willing to nogotiate a price to see that I had heat.It's good to see that Him and his wife Stacy still believe in helping out the elderly. this is why I give them 5 stars. "Mike and Jim were wonderful. Mike handled the interior project and Jim handled the exterior project. Very easy to work with. We had issues with the contract initially and getting the project moving because there was a change in Project management. But Jim the Owner was very generous to make things right once he took over the project. Schedule was done consistently to completion and we had a few cracked tiles after completion and they quickly came back to correct them. No issues now 1 year later. We love all they did. Quality is very good. I would recommend them to anyone now that Jim took over the project management. We purchased the door and tile ourselves so this is not in the cost of service."

"I can't praise the workers highly enough. Everything was professionally done. The entire area was cleaned at the end of each day. They made every effort to minimize disruption to my use of the spaces. One day there was a wind storm and a piece of fascia on my neighbor's house came loose and was flapping against the house. The neighbors were out of town. Bob Marburger, the manager on the project was able to pull the fascia down. He did it without any consideration of how he might get paid for his time. In fact, when my neighbor asked him how much he was charging for the fix; Bob told him to forget it. That is an excellent example of the type of person Rick Horn hires. On more than one occasion, they took my garbage to the curb or did other things that helped me out but were unrelated to their project. I have already hired them for another project. Their prices are fair--not the lowest or the highest; but the quality you will get for that fair price is excellent. Rick Horn Construction gets my highest recommendation with no reservation."
