"Micheal called an hour before our appt. and let us know he's be on time. When he arrived he introduced himself an went right to work. He explained what he was doing showed us the defective element. He cleaned up any mess made sure the stove worked perfectly. When we were going to pay he realized we hadn't used our 20% off coupon for first time clients subtracted the amount and were thrilled. Micheal was a pleasure to have in our home and I would recommend Micheal and AAA appliance repair to everyone .We had a great experience and customer service is hard to find anymore but this company is doing it right ."

"They did a great job. That solved our problem for now but we are going to have to replace the whole system and we have talked to him about that. We were happy with the service. They were very friendly. They came out in a timely manner and explained everything. They were very thorough and it was everything that we expected. There was nothing that we were not happy with. We were looking at $4-5,000 for a new system and we were not able to do that right away so he was able to get the system working. They haven’t called us back regarding the new system but they were on time when they came. We would use them again."

"Kevin Kelly did better work for a lower price than any of the local competitors. I'm using him from now on. Our heat pump failed last winter and we called the installer. They charged a $99 min to come out and look at it and that's all they did. Didn't open it up or anything, they just looked at it for like 5 min and said the code was a motor fail. Gave us a quote for replacement motor and labor that was close to what we paid for the unit to begin with. I did a little hunting online, and I found the replacement for 1/3 the price they quoted us and along with some YouTube videos, I figured I'd DIY. Long story short, I couldn't do it. (Note to self and others: Always make sure the breaker is off and check the leads before working on your unit or you could fry the board.) We put off doing anything about it because the weather was mild and I was still hoping to find better advice and work on it myself. Then the summer heat came along with a stimulus check, so I started calling around. All the major shops ran the same deal, they wouldn't the motor I bought and they had min diagnostic fees. Kevin Kelly was the only one who was willing to work with me. His diagnostic fee was $65. He was surprised the other guy never even looked inside. Turned out it was the board all along, nothing wrong with the motor. He was very professional and friendly. I sat by him because I wanted to know what to do next time. He was helpful and encouraging. Even when we figured out I probably fried the board, he didn't make me feel bad and handled it all really graciously. He was reliable, answered all my calls and I only ended paying him $130 on top of parts. He's a good man and does a great job."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Springfield, OR

Coils work to absorb heat into the refrigerant that flows through them, moving heat from one location to another. For air conditioning, the evaporator coil inside the air handler in your home absorbs heat. It then transfers the heat outside to the condenser coil, where it releases it. The opposite process happens for heat pumps. When the coils get dusty and dirty, it reduces how well these components work.

Skip regular cleanings, and dirt, debris, and mineral deposits will blanket your evaporator and condenser coils. When that happens, the coils can’t shed heat efficiently, so the system works harder and your energy bill climbs. Over time, overheating strains the compressor and can trigger a full breakdown—an avoidable repair that often costs far more than a simple annual cleaning.

AC coil cleaning is an investment that pays for itself in the benefits it provides. Dust‑caked coils force your AC to run longer, so you spend more on electricity and rack up extra wear. A quick professional cleaning restores efficiency, trims monthly bills, and eases strain on expensive parts. Over the long haul, that small yearly fee delays pricy repairs and stretches the unit’s lifespan, making coil cleaning one of the smartest HVAC tune‑ups you can schedule.

Watch for higher electric bills, rooms that stay warm no matter how low you set the thermostat, or an AC system that runs nonstop. Extra humidity and frost on the coils are also red flags. Catching these clues early lets you schedule a quick cleaning before the system overworks itself and triggers an expensive breakdown.

Your AC cleaning technician starts by shutting off the power to the unit and removing the faceplate. Compressed air and a vacuum hose blast away loose debris, followed by a coil-safe, no-rinse cleaner that dissolves stubborn grime. After the solution has soaked in, the professional wipes the fins, reassembles the housing, and restores power, leaving the system ready to cool at peak efficiency.
