"I had a pipe that was leaking in my wall. Fred was quick to respond to my inquiry and knew exactly what needed to be done. He was kind and explained his plan. As a woman I never felt intimidated. I ultimately went with Carmichael Plumbing and Heating because they also have a guy who could repair the sheetrock. This saved me more stress and research! I highly recommend Carmichael!"

"These guys are awesome, hands down. They came to my house quickly and did a full inspection and quote the same day. Started work two weeks later and rebuilt both of my crumbling chimneys beautifully. Nelson, Kevin, Segundo, and Carlos - you are all excellent!"

"You wrote a review for Osterman Propane A moment ago 1.0 star rating4/6/2021 Upon receiving a statement I realized a payment I put in the mail immediately upon receiving a delivery from Osterman got lost in the mail. Thus I wrote another check emailing and enclosing a copy that informed Osterman of both check numbers and instructed them to only cash one of the checks. Osterman cashed the second check on 2/23 and then cashed the lost check soon there after (3/3). I immediately contacted Osterman, regarding the errors. My initial communications were ignored. I had to call due to emails going unanswered. I was put in touch with the Plainfield office. Samantha said she would put in the necessary paperwork to get the refund sent to me. After communications with the sales manager, Stacey, and now again today with Samantha, I was told it takes three to 4 weeks for processing. She said the check was cut on 3/26. That was 10 days ago. It has been over 1 month since I contacted Osterman about the double payment. Today I told Samantha that on my next delivery I will need 3 - 4 weeks to process my next payment and asked if Osterman would be okay with this. She said she was sorry but she does not make these internal decisions. I asked to speak to that individual. I was hung up on. $659.53 has been in their pocket and not mine since March 3rd. "The cost was far more than I had expected. I should have gotten another estimate before hiring these people. The toilet was installed well, but the shower head was left with far too much play where it came out of the wall. He said he didn't have time to make it secure and to call the plumber who had originally put it in. I called the original plumber who was horrified to find an installation left so badly done, so he fixed it on the spot, even though it was past his work time. The original plumber said that the head of a screw inside the wall had been broken off in removing the shower head. I am finishing this review two days later. Over those two days I have been barraged by texts, emails, telephone call claiming that the check I gave him has not cleared, according to his accountant. I verified with my bank that the check had been cleared and deposited into his business account. Mr Buccelli assured me that was not the case and said he was coming over immediately for a check. We use the same bank which further verified to me that the check is in his business account. After two days of what approached intimidation, he now claims it was a different client. I was really uncomfortable at the thought of this angry man appearing at my door."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Stafford, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
