"<p>We had a really unpleasant experience with another local concrete company (TDJ Concrete OF Stafford VA, see review on Angie's List), who abandoned our job and took half of our money, leaving us with warped concrete forms and gravel. Our backyard was a muddy, gravel mess and was completely unusable for 5 months. As soon as we realized TDJ was not coming back, we contracted with Greystone Masonry of Stafford VA, and got on their schedule. Due to the busy time of year (Summer 2014) we had to wait 3 months for Greystone to be able to complete the project.</p> <p>Greystone came in and completed the job with beautiful results. They were easy to work with, and we really loved their beautiful showroom. Greystone did not try to price gouge us, even though they knew we were in a tough spot. They were reasonably priced. Most importantly, the end result was an absolutely perfect patio. Greystone has experienced, skilled concrete masons. </p> <p>Working with concrete is a time sensitive process. We would not recommend going with a small, amateur company for this reason. "The work was started on the scheduled date as agreed upon and the work was completed within a couple of days. Richard came out to look over the job and provided an estimate for the work within a couple of days. The old toilets and vanity were hauled away. The job was completed for the estimated price. The is the second time I have used A+ and I am equally as pleased this time as I was when they painted the exterior of my home. I highly recommend them."

"Rhonda salesperson was great but overworked and should have given me a list of things to do for prep like since I had a cooktop they cut the quartz onsite so my whole house was covered in dust when done including the drawers and cabinets next to it. If I would have known, I would have covered the room entries and removed the drawers. Also things like know where your water and gas turnoff are. The installer was new so they caulked and left right away an has to get them back to recaulk where sunk in. Rhonda was attentive to making sure they came back to do that. She was also awesome in helping me make the right selection for my kitchen. The installers had to deal with uneven cabinets and they were awesome at figuring out how to handle that . And definitely beat Lowes price. All of that is why I gave them an A."

"So like a number of other house, we had sinking front concrete steps. Our sizable front stairs had sunk about 6 inches and pull the attached walk with it. It got to the point we just had to have them replaced. I checked out various options for having them mud-jacked, but my concern was that that would not really fix the issue for the long term and they would just end up sinking again. After getting several bids we went with Tavis at Quality Concrete and Masonry. They weren't the cheapest bid but seemed the most trustworthy and had the best plan to make sure the problem did not re-occur. Tavis started on a Tuesday and was essentially work complete by Saturday. His work was very high quality. Because of the site, amount of concrete, etc. he used 1.5" rebar instead of the standard 0.5" rebar to tie the steps to the house. ( I've never even seen 1.5" rebar before.) Site was left clean each day and the final product exceeded our expectations."

"A separate roofing contractor (Hermitage) installed the cricket. Chimney Saver sent masons to do the brickwork, then came back for waterproofing. Finally the chimney no longer leaks and has not leaked in last 2 years."

"We live on a hill, with a set of steps to navigate the front yard, that end in a landing at the bottom. They were destroyed in an accident. Steve and his crew at SS Creative were the contractor I selected to repair the work. They did an excellent job matching the new construction to the old construction. Although I didn't expect it, they finished the job on Christmas Eve! I intend to call them for future projects. Excellent craftsmanship!"
