"Had him come out and look at job, got an est. digging footers, laying up blocks and finish with smooth concrete over half the job. ( Hand digging since mobile home was already in place) After checking him out and 2 others I hired him to do the job, Total time on job was 7 days. 3 days hand digging the footers and laying them out for concrete, 2 hr's for pouring concrete (166 feet) with 2 helpers (could not get truck real close) 3 days laying up block with one helper and 4 hr's putting smooth concrete finish over front and one side of Home, All work was done as good as any I have seen. The owner did most the work by himself including hand digging the footers. When checking him out I looked at some of his stone work and it was again done as good as any I have seen. would highly recommend him."

"CWI was great.  My basement flooded because my sump pumps didn't work.  (I don't know anything about these things and hadn't touched them for 10 years since I bought the house.)   CWI came out soon after I called them and inspected my basement.  They found the 2 sump pumps I had were not working and gave me an estimate to replace them.  The estimate was less than what I might have expected after doing some on-line research.   <br /> They replaced my 2 sump pumps with pumps that included a battery back-up.  I'd also asked to watch them work so I could learn about these sorts of things.  They were very accommodating.  They brand of pumps they used were top-notch according to Amazon and Home Depot reviews.   <br /> I recommended CWI to a friend whose basement was flooding and she was also very happy with their work.  <br /> Two thumbs up! <br />"

"Incredible experience. This is the best kitchen I've ever owned, and I'm a senior citizen who spent 22 years enduring military moves. Dan Martin and crew tailored this kitchen exactly to what I wanted. In fact, there were more than just one or two suggestions Dan made about the design, for which I am most grateful. Two of these were eliminating non-load bearing walls, which opened a tiny galley kitchen up to include a island/breakfast bar. At my most recent family gathering, it was a breeze to feed 22 people. In the original kitchen, barely two people could fit (see photo with Charlie the Dog). Work was exceptional. Dan and crew were diligent, precise and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was done to their high standards. Dan also works with the homeowner to keep costs down, and kept the homeowner informed daily of progress and plans. His was the lowest bid. Since my kitchen completion, I recommended him to others, and they had similar results. Outstanding service, true professional. Several months after the kitchen renovation, I had a smaller project to repair/replace the basement ceiling. Again, the work was done professionally, and I was completely pleased. Great service, great price; experienced and hard-working crew - I didn't even bother to get several bids this time."

"The jobs took a few days in total. We had them do 2 phases to our project. They were pretty much on time and did exactly what we wanted. Shannon was very professional and helpful. We will probably be using them to do the rest of our front area in the spring. I would recommend them to anyone. <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Stuart, VA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
