"Having managed dozens of renovations over the years, both commercial and residential, I can say that Joe Messineo is the best contractor I have ever hired, in any craft. No minor distinction. A 3rd generation master stone mason, Joe is an old school modern craftsman who produces quality builds. I engaged him to demolish and rebuild virtually all of the hardscape at my home---driveway, side walkways, French drain, brick patio inserts, and over 150 feet of retaining walls. A 7-week job, with more than a few moving parts. Joe’s team, Enrique and Claudio, worked like stunt men in a choreographed manner, carefully removing thousands of pounds of old concrete and cinder blocks, positioning rebar and framing the sites for cement. The worksite was clean and orderly at the end of each day. Then, 2 generations of Messineo---Joe, with a guest appearance by his father, built a complex series of retaining walls and brick inserts, that will clearly last decades longer than the original work from 1959. Every line dead-level, every elevation plumb, and every surface finished perfectly. The concrete team that completed the job with 2 truckloads of wet mix, delivered flawless slabs of new surface. Their overall level of craftsmanship and professionalism is not often to be seen these days, and it deserves recognition when it arrives."

"We are thrilled by the results! Mike and his crew took out 10 boxes of dirt from a hill in our back yard all manually! They then installed a 50 x 4ft retaining wall (fully permitted) on the hill. After that poured a 60 x 10 concrete deck and steps to our new upper deck that now overlooks the pool. They then covered the new wall and existing lower wall with new custom colored stucco. We have now doubled our backyard space and for the first time in 12 years be proud to show off our backyard!

"We are very pleased with the services provided by Exodus Construction. Sam worked through several iterations of plans and got us exactly the layout we wanted. The construction crew were very professional and a pleasure to work with. Each time a decision needed to be made they showed me options that I could choose from. Sam came by each day to check on and monitor the job. Overall my job took 5 days to complete. The transformation was stunning. We love our new cobble pavers and the colors we chose. Sam and his crew accomplished all of my goals which was to make my driveway more functional, add better drainage, provide me an area to store my trashcans and to beautify the overall appearance of my house. Overall we were very pleased with Exodus and Sam and will definitely use their services again. One recommendation to any home owner undertaking such a project is do your homework. My wife and I went to look at many houses and building showroom and factories to make sure we picked the right colors and the right type of pavers. "EZ Genesis Builderz Inc This is the second time we have used EZ Genesis Builderz for a major project for our home. Our driveway is next to some tall trees and roots from those trees have been spreading out for years and have raised and cracked major portions of the driveway. EZ Genesis Builderz came out right away and measured everything so that they would demolish the old driveway, cut out the roots, redo the slope on the drive and pour a new driveway with used brick lining the edges and running the width in two places. The mason who did the brickwork and directed the project had previously replaced a broken brick patio in our backyard and his work was outstanding. We also had an old redwood gate leading from the drive to the backyard. They replaced that with a gate that was a wrought iron frame with interior redwood slats. It looks great and functions much better than the old gate. The time from estimate to completion of work on the driveway was less than a week and the gate went in a few days later. EZ Genesis Builderz has been reliable and priced fairly. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend them or use their services again."
