"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"Overall, it was a good experience. AAA put down a vapor barrier and installed a Santa Fe dehumidifier with sump pump. The result is that we can now use the stand-up basement/crawlspace to store things under the house without ruining them. This is the part that you need to know. The installation was not without problems. First, they broke an A/C drain pipe, second, they cut a sprinkler controller wire while running a PVC pipe. Here's my take, accidents happen but how does the business respond to these issues? Well, Donna was very quick to send her team out to correct the problems and they even paid for the damage to the sprinkler system. To me, that's top notch customer service. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle it is the mark of a good company. Every time I lift the roll door and go into the basement now, I'm amazed at how cool and fresh the air is down there. No more mildew and no more smell."

He provided me the potential problem for my heat pump issues on the phone that eventually was confirmed during his initial visit and then during disassembly of the old duct system. He was very helpful in providing me additional savings and existing tax credits for the Attic Breeze vent system installed including for the heat pump providing me with the forms. "I highly recommend Mr. Danforth's services with The Fireplace Doctor!  He was professional and did a thorough job.  The level of service went above and beyond my expectations, especially since I had purchased the service via the discounted "Big Deal" promotion here on Angie's List. We are new homeowners of an 8 year old house. The previous owners had installed a low-lying deck which blocked outside access to the dryer vent.  Because of an excessively long, elbowed vent pipe that practically runs the length of the house, Mr. Danforth was only able to initially clean a partial section.  He was willing to return--  free of charge -- within the week, to allow us time to remove a few deck boards to expose the outside vent.  Of course, the vent was completely blocked with lint.  Mr. Danforth was able to remove approximately 8 years worth of lint debris.  This fire hazard has been removed and is no longer a threat to my family.  I feel blessed that I made that call to The Fireplace Doctor! Our clothes, despite the use of fabric softener, no longer have a stale smell to them. The drying time has been cut in half!  Because of this, I look forward to my reduced electric bill. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
