"It’s so nice to have a pool service that does everything, pool cleaning with care and repair. We have had several pool companies at our home but LeRichce Pool & Spa is honest & fair. We like how they run their business."

"Would highly recommend Brushed Pool & Spa! We are first time pool owners and Sean has been extremely helpful with walking us through the steps to using our pool equipment and always responsive to any questions we have. Recently we had an experience with yellow mold, Sean knew exactly what to do and was able to treat it quickly so our family could enjoy the pool. Our lab also enjoys the weekly service and play date!"

"I contacted Shea Electrical by phone and Jeff asked me to send an email with available times and dates.  He then responded promptly with a two hour window.  Anthony showed up to give the bid during the 2 hour window given.  He bid on several "small" jobs and then completed one of them in about 30 minutes. I asked that he return another day to do the other jobs as I could not stay long enough to have him finish them all.  Scheduled Anthony to return on another day by e mail and he showed right on time.  He works quickly and efficiently, leaving the area clean and patching the holes properly.  Highly recommend this company.  Love the communication, prompt service and polite worker, and clean work!

"The contact person for Venture Pool Service is Mike. He contacted me by phone to set up a day and time that he could come over. I was able to set an appt on the day I wanted. He was on time, clean and friendly. Mike explained to me that all spas are different from each other and to service a particular brand can be difficult . He tested and brought my chemicals back to where they needed to be. Mike's expertise is in pools and I appreciated his honesty about working on spas. He did give me some ideas on how to find the right person to work on my Hot Springs Spa. If you need a guy who's honest, cares about his customers and likes what he is doing, call Mike.

"They showed up surprisingly early (1 hour early) with 2 workers.  They started immediately and overall did a good job.  I've never had my place cleaned professionally before so I was super happy that they got some  of the dirtiest jobs completed such as the dirt underneath the dog areas, the baseboards and the bathrooms.  For that reason, I felt like they were worth every penny doing all the things I hate to do or refuse to clean.  When they left, I completed the survey and gave them all As for their work (with a nice tip).
But to paraphrase another reviewer: no one cleans better than me.  I noticed there were places that weren't swept/vacumed so I had to re-vacume.  I also noticed that there were areas in the shower that weren't cleaned and they moved my shampoo/conditioner/bottles to hide that fact.  Finally, it was supposed to be $80 for 2 workers @ 2 hours cleaning a 1500 sq. ft. house.  I had to buy an additional hour for $20 of them to complete the job.  This increased the price to $100.  And there were 2 bedrooms that they didn't even touch (per my request).  I don't know if they were just working slow or if I had a really dirty house, but for the company to quote the workers and price as adequate for the job and then increase towards the end is somewhat of a bait.  However, it was the first time I had a cleaning so I was a bit forgiving and appreciative of their service.
I'm unsure if would call them again but for the dirty work they did, it was worth getting the Angies List $80 deal.

"It took less than two months from contract signing until the system was up and running with permit and SDGand E approval. They got me a $1400.00 rebate which I did not expect. The $29,900 cost was $31,300 paid to the contractor less the $1400 rebate. Then I took the 30% federal tax credit, bringing my net cost after tax credit down to $20,930. This cost per kilowatt hour of annual production may be higher than for some systems both because of my non-optimal roof orientation and because 34 microinverters are more expensive than say, two central inverters. Secure Home Improvements does not push leasing as some contractors do. Leasing PV Solar, like leasing cars, is a bad deal if you can finance yourself and use the tax benefits. The warranty issue involved one panel/inverter combination, whose output dropped to 2/3 of the output of neighboring panel/inverter combinations. They could have argued that the overall output of the system was within warranty specs, but Dave Moore went to considerable trouble to replace both the inverter and the panel at no cost to me for labor or material, thus bringing that combo up to the performance of neighboring combos.

"We have been thinking about installing solar at our house for some time now. We had some quotes but nothing really "clicked".
On one weekend we went to a BBQ at one of my friends house and then I noticed a solar system on his roof. I asked him who did it and he said Green NRG. I got their phone number and called them for a quote. A nice guy came explained me about solar the different manufactures and the different products that are out there. He pointed out that his product might be more expensive then other companies but it is made in the USA. once i got the price i noticed the price was lower then some of the bids i got while using a better equipment. I signed a contract and within 4 weeks the installation crew were on my roof installing the system. On the first inspection they passed and a few weeks later after LADWP approved the system it was turned on. Since then I have been saving money on my electrical bill. The only thing in regards to the solar system project management in couple cases it was hard to get updates right away from the project manager. The project manager apologized and explained they are very busy and it was the end of the year and there were a lot of project in their system. Even though they were very busy the system was installed faster then the original time frame and we were very happy about that. In addition Green NRG offered us turf termination service with redesign and installation of drought tolerance landscape to reduce our water bills. The best part is that LADWP paid for that project. For the first time in my life my utility company paid for my landscape.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"I was very pleased with California Smartscape (CS). I talked to many other contractors regarding the project. They were all non-responsive taking weeks to give me a quote or return calls. CS was very responsive with all aspects of the project from sales to design to installation. When I called them about the project, Andrew, the sales rep, called me back the next day, came to the house the next day to discuss. Within three days they completed their review, provided a 3D conceptual design and called a meeting to discuss. At that time we met Jay, one of the owners. We then made some changes to the design. Three days later, we had a final price that was fair and reasonable. Jay came to the negotiation and we were able to finalize immediately. CS then provided the construction design documents that fully defined the project including items such as electrical runs, lighting locations, locations of BBQ and fire pit, paver, tile, etc. This design was very helpful to finalize all of our thoughts and discussions. Any verbal discussions were now in writing with no cost changes incurred. We also went to the nursery to pick out the plants. The installation was then started. All was completed on schedule. Leo, the project manager, kept me informed on a daily basis. We encountered only one change order because of the addition of one light. This was possible because of all of the design that had already been thoroughly reviewed. There were still minor items that needed to be discussed. All were completed by Leo at no cost. Numerous times, Leo mentioned that we need you to be completely satisfied. I am completely satisfied with the project and the professional nature of the entire organization. I highly recommend them.

FAQs for hot tub or spa repair or service projects in Vista, CA

To keep your hot tub in top shape, replace the filter annually and inspect the shell for any cracks. Test the water quality weekly, and schedule a professional service annually for $100 to $200. Consistent upkeep protects performance, ensures safe operation, and helps you avoid more expensive repairs down the line.

There is no single “correct” number, but a good rule of thumb is to use up to 30 jets per massage pump to provide balanced pressure and full-body coverage. Focus on jet quality, placement, and pump power rather than simply counting jets—the right mix delivers a soothing, efficient massage while keeping the system running smoothly.

When weighing repair versus replacement, start by comparing the total repair cost and the frequency of problems with the price of a new tub. If the spa is under 10 years old and the fix costs less than half the price of a new model, repair usually makes sense. Frequent breakdowns or repairs creeping toward new-tub pricing—especially when replacements can exceed $16,000—are strong indicators that it’s time to invest in a new unit.

With proper care and maintenance, a hot tub can last anywhere from five to 20 years. Plan for an annual professional service visit to address water-quality issues, component problems, or warning signs as soon as they appear. Staying on top of routine hot tub maintenance protects performance, safety, and long-term value.

You should consider replacing your hot tub pump if you notice unusual noises, a sudden drop in water pressure, or leaks near the pump housing. These key warning signs indicate that circulation is compromised, so call a professional hot tub repair expert promptly to keep the spa running in top condition.

A well-maintained hot tub heater lasts between seven and 10 years. You should always ensure the water’s pH is balanced and schedule yearly check-ups to maintain efficient heating. Catching minor issues early and scheduling regular hot tub professional maintenance helps the heater stay reliable and can prevent additional repair costs.
