"We built our home over 27 years ago; the main bathroom was out of date and desperate for a complete remodel.  Demolition began January 9 -- ripped up flooring down to the concrete, removed old tub and ceramic tile, toilet, sink -- it all had to go.  Mike repaired water damage in the wall behind the original tile, installed new ceramic tile (floor to ceiling) around new tub, radiant heat under ceramic tile floor, hung new very large medicine cabinet, repaired drywall, installed all of the towel racks and finally painted the ceiling and walls.  It is simply beautiful now.  Thank you Mike!

"Marc and his team are phenomenal to work with. They are knowledgeable about all facets of the project, even those that you may not expect such as electrical work, plumbing, etc. This allows delays to keep to a minimum and the project to advance as quickly as possible. Marc even delivered materials to our house the day before the hurricane and was on-site working the day after the hurricane cleared out. Marc is extremely responsive, always answering the phone to talk through different questions I had and calling me pro-actively to discuss design elements and other items that arise during the project. Even now, after the project is completed and payment already made, Marc is making himself available on a Saturday to come to back over and show us how to begin the sealing process, which we opted to do ourselves. The professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail are top notch. Include that with a very competitive price and MayDay makes for a great option for your project."

"They had to increase the height of the door opening. They were extremely responsive. I called them to get a bid and they were able to come out with in two days. I received the bid the next day. They took care of the permit and all of the details. They did excellent work and cleaned up well. They were just wonderful. I am very impressed with them and the quality of their work. It looks great and I have had no problems."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Wacissa, FL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
