"Rick was fabulous about fixing the issues that the original installer did wrong and created so many problems. I feel I can breathe again knowing it will work properly for a very long time. I trust Heart because their technicians are always experienced and friendly. "

"These guys are above excellent! I already had estimates from 2 companies for for a new furnace. One was way too high, and I just didn't feel right about the second one. I called One Hour and got an appointment for a quote the following day. Habib came and took all the measurements for the entire project and gave me an exact price for the work. He explained everything I wanted to know, including the high standards their company follows, from getting exactly the right heating capacity to the requirements for every one of their employees: from drug screening and criminal records to excellent work and cleanup. They have a great guarantee, without any of the usual "membership" stuff that many other companies have. (I asked Habib about the lower estimate from the other company, and he showed me that it was only an estimate that could change. So even though it was lower, it could have ended up being much higher.) The next day, Greg and Ryan came and installed the furnace. Wow! They came and did the work quickly, quietly, and efficiently. They cleaned up afterwards. Greg showed me the new furnace and how to use the emergency shut-offs, and how to change the filter. And he explained how to use the thermostat. I appreciate working with companies that are excellent, and I've found one here! I highly recommend them for any heating/cooling needs."

"Avoid this company at all costs if you?re getting a heat pump. They?ll tell you whatever you want to hear, hide the truth about rebates, and then ghost you when things go wrong. Mighty promised to ?handle all the paperwork? for our Xcel rebate ? turns out, they never even submitted it. When we called Xcel, they had zero record of anything. When we confronted Mighty, they swore they?d submit it that day. Weeks later? Still nothing. Just silence. If you do take the risk, get every single thing in writing. Every promise, every date, every detail. Because once they get paid, you?re on your own. "

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Watkins, CO

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
