"The first technician did not show up on the day he was supposed to be there. He did phone and say he had run into problems at the previous job and could not make it. The water heater did need replacing but it was not the problem with the water leak. It was the air conditioner and the pipe was clogged that took the condensation water out of the house. The reservoir was filling up and leaking back into the house. The technician stated I needed and air conditioner person to work on that. I was only told about the air conditioner leak after the water heater was replaced.to the price of $2550. I still had the water leak."

"It was a bit of work for him to fix the water heater but it was a nice change not to have him just recommend a brand new one. The water heater pilot light would not stay lit (gas water heater) so he ended up having to trouble shoot and replace a small gas line. He had said it was a difficult fix but It was a fair price for the time he spent and I had others say we needed a new one (1000$+) He was recomended by a close friend and I have thanked her for letting me know about him. I will use him again if i need anything done. <br />"

"Plumber Pro Service and Drain handled everything including researching the proper faucets to use, opening walls and ceilings where needed, and replacing pipes. The plumber who came to us was a gentleman named Russell Miller and he is top notch! The areas where he worked were left cleaner than he found them and in a matter of hours he transformed our access to outdoor water supplies from unworkable to optimal operation! We are having Plumber Pro Service and Drsin back to do more work and I recommend them very highly!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Watkinsville, GA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
