"After an extensive process of having different contractors evaluate my home & submit their estimates for the installation of a Bosch tankless boiler/water heater combination unit as well as new baseboard heating, I selected AStar Heating & Cooling. Their staff impressed me from start to finish. Initially, I met Aaron who provided a thorough explanation of how the work would be done, offered other options that I did not know of or considered at the time, and provided a fair estimate that was similar to most of the other contractors. Next, when the time came for the projects to be completed, the technicians, Robert & Trevor, were on point. They always arrived in a timely manner & started working right away. They worked efficiently & quickly to get the projects done in the time frame promised. However, they did not rush, they took pride in their work & made every effort to make sure the work was completed neatly & done properly, as they thoroughly tested out the systems to make sure their were no issues/problems in their setup & performance. "I was very impressed with the service that Sergiy provided. He was very prompt and showed up just like he said he would. He and his assistant Nick started work immediately and did a great job. They installed two windows and spackled my bathroom ceiling. One window also needed exterior trim. I liked the fact that Sergiy went and got cedar. He also explained that it would be much stronger. I'm very happy with the job. They also cleaned up all the areas that they worked in. Sergiy also checked a gutter that I was having a problem with, and he didn't charge me any extra for that. He also originally told me he was going to have to charge me extra for materials, but at the end he included that in the original quoted rate. He was very easy to talk to and friendly regarding any questions I had while the work was being done. Also one final detail that really made Sergiy stand out. He called me a few days after the job and asked me if I had any questions, and if everything was okay. I think that's something you don't see very often. I highly recommend Sergiy. "Murphy's Law said that as soon as I stacked the boxes of my wife's old but favorite art books, something would happen. I even asked her if we ever had more than a standing inch of water in the basement. That night, a discovered a growing puddle around the water heater, that was running down the side of the tank from a pool at the top. I called a local plumber who we had used before (and even texted photos of the water heater to them), but after two days of no call back even though I left a second message, I called Green Air Solutions. Jeff called me back immediately, and despite that it was dinner time, and I told him it wasn't a dire emergency), he was over at my house within a half hour. What I liked best was that he took time to figure out the problem and explain it to me. The previous owners had put in two water heaters (I assumed to fill the large jacuzzi upstairs), but only one was being used. Fortunately, we had a backup already in place, but it made for interesting puzzle. Jeff seemed to enjoy figuring it out, worked fast, and had it removed and the other one up and running in an hour. When I first realized that the heater was shot, I expected an expensive job. It was not. That's how a service vendor builds trust and clients. The other plumbing company? "Technician stated hot water heater needed to be total replaced due to normal wear and tear. Hot water heater is initially the hot water heater installed in 1999 when home was built. Choice Home Warranty denied the claim after several years of being a loyal customer, making payments on- time every month. What is the use of having this warranty for times as this and when you need them, they denied the claim? Although the service was good, response time adequate, providing the services needed when your appliance break down and being denied repairs was disappointing and devastating, especially when coronavirus is rampant and you really need your hot water to wash clothes, dishes, bath, shower, and remain sanitary. I am so heart broken because I live on a fixed income and am disable, and can’t afford to purchase a hot water heater at this time. They determined that the water heater was not operating properly as a result of a lack of effective maintenance of the unit. What a crock!"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
