"The job was done quickly efficiently and neatly in a 1903 house where leveling and a stiff floor was essential. Working on older houses can prove challenging. A previous contractor's job was so poor the tile had to be torn out and thrown away. The new installation looks like new construction, It is solid and level. Mr. Rodriguez was consistently polite and cooperative. He did preparation and cleanup work that was not required in the contract. He also made suggestions and did work that involved significant amounts of time and labor without asking for increased compensation. We have already asked him if he would undertake other projects with us."

"This is the first review I have ever submitted for a contractor. However, when a company offers this outstanding level of service they have more than earned a five star rating! After a severe windstorm damaged my roof, I called my insurance company and then researched / contacted several roofers in my area. As a result of so much damage most roofing companies were extremely busy. Walter Brown was the only one who had their staff working diligently to take calls, and somehow managed to fit me into their schedule even though they were inundated with emergency work. Two workers arrived as the rain started and tarped the damaged areas. Everyone at Walter Brown consistently replied to my emails and continued to stay in touch with me as we worked through the color selection and scheduling of replacing my roof. I researched brands of shingles before John Cisna came to my house to discuss the brand that they install. Finding out that they install the brand that I had found was the highest rated brand on the market confirmed that they had high standards both in the products they use as well as in the quality of work that they do. The crew who did the job was absolutely amazing, professional, courteous, and meticulous in making sure every detail of the roof was perfect. They completed the job in one day, and the young gentleman who went through the inspection checklist with me was thorough, and made sure that every detail was addressed to my satisfaction. It was a real pleasure working with Walter Brown Roofing. Everyone including the office staff, owner, management, and work crew were all a real joy to work with. "As usual, it was a wonderful experience! Frank and the guys stayed in touch throughout the whole process. It was tricky because the work was done at a rental property. We had to get our tenants to move all the furniture from upstairs to downstairs or outside. We also had to keep them off the floors and stairs while the poly dried. Frank was wonderful, working his crews around our schedules to minimize disruption to our tenants. AMS crews helped replace the furniture, then all the downstairs stuff had to go in the garage while he put in carpet. I felt Frank did an excellent job in balancing our desire for quality work, but still understanding that this was a rental property, not our own home.
The floors look incredible. The stairs are a real treat. Rental properties take a beating and we were planning to recarpet the whole house. When Frank came out to measure, he discovered hardwood flooring under the carpet upstairs. Bingo!! We will not have to recarpet again!! The price was very reasonable and I am thrilled that he discoverd the hidden jem of hardwood!
Once again, we could not be more pleased. It was another perfect job by AMS!

"Anthony Barrera is the owner of Toony-Touch, and he sets the tone for the people who work for the company.  You will find them courteous, very careful in handling your possessions, and honest.  You won't find anything missing when Tony-Touch's crew leaves your house  The company's customer service is excellent it caters to its customer's needs.  If you are like me, sometimes you think you want things done one way, and Anthony is very diplomatic about helping a customer to understand why the work should be approached differently.  I have never undertaken a renovation project before so we had several miscommunications about the work.   Once I explained to Anthony, that I needed to understand what might be involved in a project before it is done, he has helped me understand the things I needed to know to make good decisions.
The work is planned at the customer's convenience.  Don't want crews in the house on Saturday, or any day before 8? Tony Torch will accommodate you. Oh, did I say the paint job and is especially gorgeous and the tile on the floor and the walls of my master bedroom bath rocks?  I'll say it again.  They did it to the paint job to the designer's every specification, and Anthony designed the exquisite pattern of the wall tiles in the bath.
 Typically, the crew comes in with their equipment at the appointed time, if they are painting they move everything except the most fragile of items for you.  I had my closets painted, and that saved me time.  I could have saved more time, but like I said, I have undertaken this type of project and I wasted time packing or removing things that they were prepared to do.  Anthony, visited the house on a regular basis to inspect his crew's work."

"Responsiveness was prompt before the sale and an attractive design was proposed for both kitchen and bathroom. After a down payment was provided, service dropped off considerably. The quality of the work was mostly good, but seemed to vary among the work crew. Some areas had to be redone when workmanship was below par. Promises were made before the sale that were not honored afterwards. Any future customers should insist that any promises made should be put in writing using the same description as the promise. Otherwise, they should just assume it was never offered. All purchases for items used in project were purchased through the contractor with fixed allowances without ever seeing an itemized bill. Costs that exceeded the allowance were assessed as an up charge. Costs that may have been under the allowances were never used to offset the up charge, as far as I could tell."

"Vince called me back within hours of my sending him a message through Angie's List.  Even though he does not list Montgomery County as one of his service areas, he was completely willing to help us out.  In my message, I had requested the work to be done onsite but Vince explained why having him pick up the generator and take it back to his shop to work on it would make more sense.  His charge for pick-up and delivery back to us was only $34.95.
When Vince came to pick up the generator, he was on time and was able to give me a ballpark cost for the work (which turned out to be very accurate).  He said that he could get it back to us in 3-4 days but I asked if he could do it faster as there was a snow storm predicted for the next day or so.  Vince agreed to a shorter time line and ultimately got the generator back to us within 1 day!  There ended up being no snow storm but we got our generator back in working condition - along with a booklet of care instructions, a copy of our invoice, and a service history form.  A few days later we received a hand-written Thank You card in appreciation of our business.  I can't imagine how the service could have been any better.  We will use Vince for any future small engine repairs/maintenance we have and highly recommend him and his services.
