"Jon found the problem right away, explained how it happened, repaired the pipe and replaced the outside faucet. I had him replace a second outside faucet as well. He noted a small leak on the water heater, and after we discussed the age of the water heater, I had him replace the hot water heater and an older valve on the water meter. He completed everything in a shorter time than I expected. Before he left, showed me the controls on the new water heater and how to re-light the pilot if it ever went out. "Fast response to initial query.  Scheduling via Angie's list messaging took a few tries to find date.  On the scheduled date and time, he called me to let me know that he was running at least a couple hours late.  Gave me the option to still have the work done (later in the evening) or have him come first thing Saturday.  I chose the latter.

"I called a few plumbing companies on Angie's List for a rough estimate of the repair cost. A few gave quotes for replacing both the flush valve and the flapper fill valve. A few said they did not do quotes over the phone. Which I understood. After talking to a few of the plumbing companies, I chose Dave Kerr, owner of Twin City Pipeworks. Dave came out and replaced the flush valve gasket. He said the flapper fill valve was still good unless I wanted it replaced he could do that. I stayed with the flapper valve I had.
