"Finally an honest Solar company!! I went through several companies trying to get quotes for one of my properties, either they were ridiculously expensive or they didn't return my calls. A friend of mine referred me to Mega Sun and I have to say I am very pleased. "My wife and had put off a remodel of our 33-year-old bathroom until cracks in the fiberglas shower pan compelled us to act. I cut out sheetrock from the shower wall flanges and then cut out the walls. I cut a circle around the drain and popped off the base only to find the drain pipe cracked at the 45 degree fitting going into a straight 2" abs pipe about 2/3rds encased in concrete. When I tried to put a rubber cap on the pipe, a cracked opened up 3.5" down the pipe. Now I was worried. After talking to a couple of friends, I turned to Angie's List. I called Ken Fleck and, happily for me, he was in town finishing a project and would be happy to stop by and see my problem. He was impressed by the poor workmanship of the contractor we had 33 years ago and offered to fix the pipe and place the new shower pan right then. He sent me to the plumbing shop for parts while he started drilling into the concrete. By the time I got back, he said the pipe had a spiral crack all the way to the Y-coupler leading down into the concrete slab (Actually, I could see the damage.). He put in a proper drain and trap and installed the new shower pan all in a little over two hours. If I had done it on my own it would have taken a week and I would have been a nervous wreck and my wife more than a little unhappy. Thanks, Ken."

"A high priced, high overhead company sends a low paid worker to your house to do the unskilled labor of cleaning windows, then pockets 50% of the purchase price for themselves.
Caveat: The worker did a good job but the company did little or nothing to add competitive value to the purchase price of the work completed. I overpaid and should have hired a motivated college kid directly.

"We have a rental in Lancaster, and the tenant called to say that one sprinkler zone had been running for about 2½ hours.  I tried to talk them through looking for the valve, but it wasn't successful.  I called Josh based on the stellar reviews here, and got his voicemail.  The ONLY negative thing I'll say about him is that if I hadn't read the reviews, I wouldn't have felt confident based on his outgoing message. 
When he called back (within 10 minutes, by the way) those less-than-confident feelings were completely assuaged.  He just happened to be very close to our property, and said he'd stop there on his way to his next job.  He was there in 5 minutes.
He shut the valve off, and called to tell me that it was a bad solenoid, and also another valve was leaking.  I told him that I knew he had another job to go to, and that I had a regular gardener who could make the repairs on his next trip.  I thanked him for the speedy trip, and asked him how he'd like to settle up, i.e. credit card, check etc.  He said, "If your gardener can do the repairs, then don't worry about it, you don't have to pay me, I was right here."

"Choice was fast, efficient, and kept me posted on the progress of the claim. Although the water leak issue was discovered on a Friday, they had a plumber there to investigate by Saturday morning. When it was determined that the 20+ year old heater needed to be replaced, the replacement ordered, on-site, and installed by Wednesday morning. I am glad that we opted for the Choice Ultimate plan as other than the initial $65 service fee, all but one $50 ancillary expense was covered."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
