"The job took about 4-5 days from tear down of the old deck until the entire deck was completed. All of the workers arrived at about 8 each morning and left about 4:30-5:00 each day. The workers stayed busy throughout their time here. Mr. Rosian was also here each day until the job was completed. We are beyond satisfied and would definitely refer him to anyone looking for any services that he renders."

"We wanted a deck that would hopefully last 50 years, built with Ipe which is incorruptible but difficult to work with due to the extreme hardness and density.  Also used Trex powder-coated aluminum for the railings. <br /> Got several quotes, Warner had great attention to detail from start to finish.  They were willing to work with our design requirements, such as 6x6 Ipe posts, and the use of Ipe for all non-framing material. <br /> The deck was incredibly beautiful when finished, truly a masterwork of the deckmaker's art.  All the top and side surfaces are "finished" surfaces, each stairis comprised of three triangles, and the posts are all capped.  After staining, the grain and texture and details made it seem to almost belong on the interior of the house, a natural extension of our red oak hardwood floors. <br /> Warner did a tremendous job, had several very helpful design suggestions.  They also stood behind me when I wanted to return one of our massive 6x6s due to a streak of sapwood. <br /> I also appreciated they were willing to come back and take care of a few details, such as grinding down some exposed screw tips.  Did a fine job with the cleanup and etc. <br /> <p>Our yard faces onto a golf course, our deck has gone from a bit of an eyesore to one of the finest in the neighborhood.  Tnanks Warner!</p> <p><br /> </p> <br />"

"We absolutely loved our experience working with Sara (designer) and the Archadeck team on our new backyard deck. The team was extremely responsive to requests and adjustments throughout the process. There were a few punch list items that came up after the build was complete that they had a technician come out and fix very quickly. Would definitely recommend Archadeck to those looking not just for a new deck, but an overall professional, high quality build experience."

"Stonewood Design Group did a fantastic job. I highly recommend their services. Rich Miyazaki is an extremely talented, creative and professional designer. His crew was punctual, professional, and did a great job of installing the plants and stone. My husband and I like Japanese-style gardens, and we wanted a design that incorporated some exotic specimens. Our yard looks fantastic--we are very pleased, and we have received many compliments from neighbors. We will definitely use Stonewood Design Group again and highly recommend their services."

"Although it was a little tough to connect in the beginning (due to summer rush and holiday weekend), once Maria and I connected, things went very smoothly. <br /> She came to my house, measured and provided a quote in a very timely manner.   <br /> I had to go through my HOA, and she was quite helpful. Providing the drawings and contacting J.U.L.I.E. as required by the HOA (and even coming out a second time to get additional details requested by the HOA). <br /> We had set a tentative installation date (pending HOA approval) and were lucky that the HOA approval was received in the nick of time and the weather held out. <br /> The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly all day to complete the job. When they ran out of bricks, they went back out to buy more.  Maria  was there the entire time overseeing the work.  At one point we had an issue with the level of the patio where the base of the steps and the side of the house were out of sync (huge downward slope).  She noted the issue and provided a sound recommendation which I approved. At the end of the day, they cleaned up the entire area.  They had carefully removed sod, mulch and some of my plants to install the brick patio and when they were done installing, they replaced the sod, mulch and even replanted my flowers.  Impressive!!  Everything washed up (even the handprints on the staircase) and clean.  They were also very careful with the surrounding area.  I live in a townhouse and they used wheel barrels to bring in all the materials.  They were careful not to destroy any of the common area.  This is a huge plus and greatly appreciated.   <br /> Overall, it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend LDP.  I love my new patio - even though it is small, it adds a whole new room for me outdoors.  Wish I could add pictures, it turned out great!!"

"I cannot recommend Mike Hoorelbek and his team enough. They removed shrubs, small trees and large tree roots, in addition to clearing the ground for our new walkway, patio and retaining wall. The work was done in a timely manner (2 weeks), they were very communicative throughout the process and the final product looks amazing. They checked in with us when things came up to give us the ability to make decisions, which we really appreciated. Their work has more than doubled our enjoyment of our outdoor space. Great work!"

"I called Bret-Mar for an estimate for landscaping around my bare patio. I didn't really know what I wanted to do, I just wanted some privacy screening for the hot tub, and around the patio. Sharon had great suggestions for what to plant and where, showed me lots of photos to help visualize the end result. I asked her for suggestions on the side and front of my house as well. The estimate for the patio was pretty good,so I decided to add on the rose garden on the side, and replace a small evergreen tree in front with a weeping cherry tree. They did everything in one day, despite the heat and a sudden storm! They planted aborvitae in the hot tub area, a beautiful Prariefire crab tree, surrounded by shrubs, put an outcropping stone step off the patio, and moved an ornamental treee and some perennials around the rest of the patio, and mulched everything. It all flows together beautifully! I would recommend Bret-Mar to everyone!"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Wilmington, IL

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
