Annette Hale's sent a consultant to my home to give a quote on a replacement unit within an hour and a half of my call.  Greg, the consultant, was professional, friendly, and helpful.  The pricing available on a returned unit that had been installed at another residence for 3 days was very affordable.  We were able to set up an appointment for our install within five business days.   The service men that did the install were friendly and courteous.  The main area that I felt that Annette Hale's went above and beyond my expectations was that they added an additional run to an upstairs bedroom without charging us any more than the initial cost estimate.  They also enlarged the run to our master suite which had been undersized(since this couldn't be visualized without opening the system - this also was more labor than initially expected);  there was no additional charge related to this either.  Annette Hale's commitment to our satisfaction with this purchase and install was truly extraordinary.  I would highly recommend their services and will call them for our HVAC needs in the future.

Small jobs welcome

"I live in Murfreesboro, it's the last week of June and my A/C stopped blowing cold around 10:30 pm on a Thursday night. So I Googled up I called several A/C repair businesses for a quote and/or to get a service call scheduled. A gentleman named Micheal from All Good Heat and Air called back within an hour and squeezed in a slot for 10 am the next day, Friday. The others called back between 7 am and 8 am Friday morning. He arrived 30 minutes early, recognized the issue immediately and replaced a bad capacitor. He was here for about 35 minutes total and the A/C was back to blowing snowballs. Overall, very polite, very professional, got the job fixed quickly, and was the first to call back. Highly recommend."

"CHW was very responsive to our urgent need! We filed a claim the evening prior when we notices our A/C was blowing warm air into the rooms. Then by 8AM the next day, we had a call from the service technician saying he was on his way to address the issue! CHW worked with the technician to find out the compressor was the culprit and approved it's repair! Great customer service for a family in need during the hot south central Texas summer!"

"They came in to inspect our firplace and chimney the summer of 2012, and they were honest with us.  The person who came out let us know that our system was in great condition, and did not need any service. He could of easliy over sold us on unnecessary products and services. We appreciate his honesty.

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Winchester, TN

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
