"Response to my call was quick, Mike came out to consult as promised. He gave details and information without appearing to push for the most expensive system. We chose a very good system, but not the top of the line. <br /> Installer came out exactly when we agreed, which was only a few days after the consultation. He was polite, courteous, careful in how he treated our home. He finished in one day. There was a subcontractor who came the same day to handle the new electrical junction and wiring to the outside unit. <br /> The entire installation was done with minimal impact on our home. <br /> The installer said there was one thing (size and routing of a vent pipe) that was very hard to do (Mike had predicted this when he quoted the job). He said he would try one solution that would work perfectly well but that might not be what the state inspector wanted to see. He said if there was a problem he would come back out and correct it. <br /> Indeed one inspector said everything looks great, while the other one (inspecting something different) asked for this vent pipe to be modified. The installer came to the house promptly and engineered a solution that satisfied the state. <br /> One other comment about the original call. I needed to work with the office by telephone, setting the date and time and giving credit card info. The company was having trouble with their phone service, and we kept getting cut off. Eventually the young woman in the office gave me her private cell number so we could complete our business. I thought that was "above and beyond" as they say and speaks well of the company. <br /> Bassett is certainly our heating and AC company now. Will definitely work with them for future needs as well as ongoing routine maintenance. <br /> I did not grade them on price, as I did not get other quotes and have no way to compare. Sorry, but members will have to rely on other reviews to assess the price. <br />"

"Two hours of plumbing services purchased through Angie's list for $99.00.   First appointment was cancelled due to emergency cold weather issues for plumber who needed to thaw frozen pipes for other customers. I waited and then needed to call him back to make another appointment happen. Needed a new stopper in the tub which was close to but a bit under $50.....he stated it was easier to round off the number and charged me $50 for the part. He fixed the level of hot water available in the 3 bathrooms."

"The repair went great! The central air went out late Sunday night and Johnson Brother's Plumbing and Heating were able to schedule coming to the house that Wednesday, which was the earliest, based on the other companies we called. Repair technicians were on time, found the problem quickly -- had a bad capacitor. Technicians had correct part in their truck and replaced the part within minutes. Almost immediately, cool air was being blown through the vents. The technicians checked the air conditioning temperature and verified system was working correctly. <br> <br>The technician explained what the capacitor does and answered my questions about the part, then showed me the bad capacitor, explaining when the top of the capacitor is pushed out it's an indication that the part is bad. <br> <br>The price was reasonable and the house was back to being cooled. The technicians also liked dogs, so I didn't have to lock my dogs up. <br> <br>I would definitely use Johnson Brother's Plumbing and Heating again."

"I had waited 30 years to get air conditioning and it was my neighbor that recommended CalibratingAir. I was impressed with the company right from the start, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. They sent out Ryan and Darryl to do the job. The guys were prompt and and covered my carpet to keep things clean. The job was done well and passed inspection with flying colors! Their front office even called to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Ryan and Darryl thank you for doing such an awesome job and I’m really enjoying my cool house!!"

"5 stars for this company. After interviewing several plumbers for residential bathroom renovations and water heater replacement I hired Lujan PSI, who a local plumbing supply company recommended. The owner Lucas was prompt and responsive to my needs throughout my project. All work was completed on schedule and was competitively priced. In a place and time where the demand for contractors is extraordinary and it is difficult to find one who cares, Lujan PSI is a standout. This local, family owned company has earned my highest recommendation."

"<p>Let me start by explaining that I first had two other plumbers and the city of Colorado Springs all check my line and tell me it was not going to be repairable.  The other plumbers ran their cameras through my line as well as their snakes and were UNABLE to fix the problem.  My home had no ability to drain water.  I was in the process of obtaining bids to literally DIG UP THE PAVEMENT in he street to fix the problem.  This would have cost between ten and twenty thousand dollars.</p> <p>Olsen's Plumbing came.  Their camera and snake were MUCH better and more powerful than the other plumbers.  They completely fixed the pipe and showed me on the camera that it was fixed.  It all took less than two hours.  </p> <p>They were phenomenal.  I will not hire another plumber.  I highly recommend them.</p>"

"Tyler is the best!!!  I had him come to the house last month because our carbon monoxide detector was reacting to something in the house.  He fixed a gas leak the same day I called for an appointment.  While he was here we discussed having the gas water heater replaced with an electric one since the warranty had expired.  We also have too many appliances in a small area (washer/dryer, gas furnace and gas hot water heater).  On 9/30/13 he replaced the water heater, replaced the gas line and cleaned and repaired the furnace.  He found a hole in the duct work and took care of that too.  During this entire process we found out that the contractor who replaced our furnace in 2006 never pulled a permit.  Tyler researched it for me and pulled a permit so that we could have the hot water heater and furnace inspected at the same time.  The job was done professionally and quickly.  Tyler and his wife, Hannah, were very easy to work with and they answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly.  I have no problem recommending this business to everyone!!! <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Woodland Park, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
