"An extremely professional and friendly plumber arrived right on time and immediately identified the issue with our water heater. He took the time to explain what had happened, pausing to answer my questions. He outlined what needed to happen to fix the issue and gave me a rough estimate of the cost. Then he searched and found the best possible price and installed the new water heater that very day. We originally chose the service because the office was so friendly and responsive over the phone and we were very happy with the plumbers (advanced + apprentice) who came to our house. Extremely positive experience for a not-so-fun homeowner issue."

"<p>Arrived on the day of the install and did the shingle removal, installed new shingles and cleaned the work area up and hauled off the debris. I did not have any debris left in the yard. My yard was clean afterwards. </p> <p>I have tried to get them back out for a small ridge vent job and they said they would come and do it, and gave me a price we agreed on, but have not and now my ceiling in the other part of my home will have to be repaired because of the delay of them coming back for the small job and the rain we have had.</p> <br />"

"Small things that needed done. Had been living with a faucet that had a broken valve so off was acutally 1/2 turn on and a toilette that didn't fill quite enough so was always messy. <br /> Their man came out and quickly and efficiently fixed both problems. He did have to totally replace the faucet, but called me at work to verify the style I wanted before replacing. <br /> All was done and in good working order within an hour or so. <br />"

"That particular company had been getting a bad rep before we used them. We went ahead and used them and it was not an insurance claim and they did an excellent job. They're competitive and very comparable to everybody else in our area. They're not any more expensive, they're not any less. They do a really good job, what they promise to do, they do."

"Very good. The job ran longer than initially estimated but this was due unforeseen / additional work required to provide a quality result. David Ritter, Foundation Team Leader, did an excellent job communicating the work performed as well as the work to be performed all week long. He was thoroughly professional and dedicated to providing a quality end product. His hands on approach during the final lift was reassuring to this homeowner. Dan Friesen performed a good initial assessment of the jobs and overview - we have had good previous experiences with Low Country Basement Systems and this helped guide our investment in having this work performed. Our dealings with Kathy Jones in the office were straightforward and correctly communicated. Every member of Low Country Basement Systems we came in contact with provided quality Service and among these, David Ritter stands out as the epitome of an installation professional."

"I called and left a message and Evan Davenport was very prompt in calling me back and keeping me informed of the time he would be able to come do the work. They did an excellent job I could not be more pleased. Very professional and courteous. And my driveway looks wonderful and smooth as can be. They worked for hours to get it packed down and in place."

"They arrived at 10 AM as promised and had the job completed in 5 hours. All stumps were gone, the entire area raked, and nothing left on the ground. They also removed a small island in the middle of the front yard that wasn't in the original quote with no increase in price. Couldn't have asked for better. If further work is needed in the future, won't hesitate a second to call them back. Real pros!"

"They did the renovations in our bathroom for us. They put porcelain tile down in our bathroom and around the bathtub. They installed a shower for us. They did all the plumbing. They basically had the shower, take the old shower out . Then they had the city come inspect and make sure it's up to code."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Wrightsville, GA

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
