"The project seemed to turn into something unexpected. I have a flush-up toilet that needed a new macerator installed. The pipes were realigned and the macerator installed, but the toilet didn't seem to work right. Their technician Mark immediately went into figuring out what could be wrong. Checking the pipes, analyzing the owner's manual, and calling the manufacturer of the toilet. He ran a few tests and figured out what was wrong. Flush-up toilets are notorious for being difficult, but Mark figured it out. I really appreciate his efforts to resolve this problem. Thanks, Very Satisfied Customer"

"I hired ValDel plumbing to move a gas water heater, well pressure tank, and replace a leaking 30 port pex manifold. Steve negotiated with me on price and gave me a reasonable estimate, considering the number of new parts that were needed. The team was here for about 9 hours and completed everything beyond expectations, including making some corrections to things that were not originally scoped, without increasing cost. They cleaned up everything before they left. Highly recommended."

"The ductwork cleaning and heater installation were done on sequential days. The guys who did the cleaning arrived on time and did a very thorough (and noisy) job. (The noisy part can't be helped, but be warned.) They were friendly and professional and did no damage to the walls, even though they were dragging hoses all over the place. The next day the heater installation was performed just as professionally (and loudly) as the cleaning. All of Chud's service techs were great and I would definately use their services again."

"The heat exchanger on our 23 year old high efficiency gas heater got a 4 inch crack in it which means it was leaking carbon monoxide. It also meant we had to replace the heater and the central air conditioner.  After figuring out which make and model new gas heater and air conditioner we wanted, we got 3 estimates for exactly the same units.  Murphy gave us the best price and even charged $825 less than another company wanted  to install an ultraviolet light in the system which kills germs, bacteria, mold and mildew since I have really bad allergies.
Tito and Mike from Murphy's arrived exactly on time.  The installation went in beautifully especially since two other companies said we would have to remove paneling from our rec room which had been built  AFTER the original heater was installed 23 years ago.  This would be a really hard thing to do.
Well, Tito worked his magic and we DID NOT have to rip our rec room apart to run lines to the air conditioner which exited the outside wall behind the paneling, a place hard to get at.  What professionals!   Both men were pleasant, courteous, and professional.  Everything was left neat and clean.

We love our new heater.  It runs so quietly we don't even know it is running.  Quite a difference from the old furnace.
Would we use them again, yes, and we did for a plumbing problem we discovered while making room for the old heater to go out and the new one to come in..

FAQs for gas piping projects in Fairview Village, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
