"Lack of a/c is unacceptable this time of year. My old unit was 30 years old (came with the house). When the diagnosis on Thursday was DOA, sales coordinated with installation who showed up with a new unit at 8 Friday morning and I had a/c by 12:30. From first contact to completion took less than 36 hours. Every person I dealt with in this process was professional and a pleasure to work with. The installers took precautions to protect the interior (booties, tarps, etc) and cleaned the area before they left. I have been a customer of these folks for 10 years for maintenance and installation, and their techs are all first rate. I readily recommend Modern for anyone needing HVAC services. (The reason for the N/A rating on price is that I didn't do any comparisons so I simply don't know)."

"I called Bob on a Tuesday and we scheduled Friday morning for the install. While on the phone I was able to give him a relatively accurate description of the current gas line configuration and the routing and distance involved and he gave me a rough estimate, which was reasonable. He arrived promptly Friday morning as scheduled. The work went smoothly, was done neatly and Bob did a thorough clean up. There were no surprises and the charges were the same as the estimate. Bob was courteous and professional. I will definitely call him back for future work."

"The condos in my building have baseboard heat supplied by a central water heating furnace. The zone valve for my condo started to fail in the Winter of 2013. By November of 2014 the valve completely failed. I purchased a replacement via Amazon and set up an appointment with <strong>Wisconsin Fuel Heating & Cooling</strong> later that month to have it installed. Until then, I set the valve to be fully opened to make sure I had heat. On the day of my appointment, the vendor was prompt and friendly. We had to hunch over to go into a crawlspace in the basement of my building to get access to my zone valve. My valve was right up against a cinderblock wall which made things more cramped for us. Taking the original valve off was a breeze for the vendor. Installing the new one took some time since we could not fully get the water to stop. He got it down to a slow drip. I had to lift the feed pipe to the valve a bit in order to keep the water from preventing a water tight seal while he soldered. He finally got the pipe sealed after three attempts and wired everything up. He also suggested that the shut off valve to my unit (along with several others) needed to be updated as someone else had already done for their unit. Since the vendor installed a zone valve I had already purchased, I only paid for labor. The new zone valve works great with the new thermostat and there has been no problems since it was installed. I would definitely use Wisconsin Fuel Heating & Cooling again. <br />"

"Work does was great. Onsite Plumber was great. Communication with "office" was very slow and I did not feel like and important customer, was just another number. Cost was higher then other so I would still use them in my quitting process because the work was good. They are very "ala-cart". They scoped my line for ~$300 saw something they could not move past and flagged it and did the primary work. When I called back to have the "flagged area" looked at, there were going to change me again to scope the line which I believed to be something that I should not be charged for again. You already got my business, "why nickel and dime me" again. because of that extended cost I did the work myself and determined is was just a bend in the pipe the camera could not move beyond. That saved me a lot of money. Overall GREAT quality of work, dedicated and professional onsite work, head office communication and customer focus needs some work. I will quote with them again for other jobs."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Kenosha, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
