"This is a 90 year old house and the valve was original equipment. It had to be replaced but only from below by cutting a hole in the basement ceiling. Even then, the valve was built into the joists and the area to work in was about 6x10 inches and all overhead. Ben worked on this replacement for hours and he worked unbelievably hard. It was frustrating work, but I never heard him call out in anger (of course I was not with him at all times:)).
