"Damion was our service technician and he came to clear the roots out of our drains. That was successful but in the process, he expressed concern over the gasket on the sewer plug and tested it to be sure it was firmly sealed. It appeared to be and he had us flush toilets and run faucets to be sure. The seal appeared solid but overnight it slowly showed a leak. We called Reddi Services and Damion was back early the next day to replace the part. He didn't charge us a service call for the second visit and even ran out to find the piece needed (he didn't have the part in his truck so he ran out to find it and charged us just for the part.). We're very satisfied with Reddi Service, have used them several times in the past, and will continue to use their technicians."

"My Pro Terry, with Corum did an excellent job. He was clean and efficient. He was very personable and showed concern for my needs. I hired him to put in a gas line for my new stove and shared my concern about the water line for my refrigerator and Terry ended up doing both jobs. And the job was reasonable! I will definitely use Corum for my plumbing needs!"

"The sink had very thick and longtime build-up that was mostly clogging a big section of pipe and not able to be opened with a "snake". Several feet of pipe had to be removed and replaced. Once the occluded piece was removed, Kyle showed me the ends of the pipe after it was removed and why just trying to shift the caked in debris wouldn't work in this case. I appreciated him showing me (including some photos, as I have a crawl space) along with explaining so I had a better understanding. He was considerate in explanations of the work, wearing a mask, punctuality and in cleaning up after."

"They are one of the very few businesses that work on natural gas powered gaslights in independence Missouri and their work is so thorough I have no concerns about the safety of the lamp and gas line. All employees are very customer devoted and respectful, it was a pleasure to work with them. And I definitely would again!"

"I got a referral from another plumber who was out of commission for a few months. Jason with Rescue 1 was very polite, direct and came across as honest, based on my existing knowledge of the issues we'd had with our old sump pump in the past and were experiencing again, five years later. Time for a new one. He worked us in for a first stop on a Monday morning after a rainy weekend with more rain forecasted. I know he was super busy as a result, but Jason came and went within 45 minutes, with a new pump installed and cleaned up after himself. That was a month ago and last week, I needed to call him again to help with a drain pipe that had corroded away from its attachment. He again was in and out within half an hour. Both services were very reasonable. I would call him again when we need it!"

"The installation went pretty much as anticipated. When Mr. Lesan began the removal process for the old faucet he discovered that the original installer had used connectors that were fairly cheap (not brass). He had to make some minor modifications to the pipe stems that would support the new faucet before proceeding further. He also had to ream out the holes in the basin to accomodate the slightly wider inlet spacing on the new unit. Everything was clear sailing after that and the new unit performs as expected."

"Randy did an amazing job getting our new water heater installed! He did it quickly and professionally. Then when we had an issue with water in our basement the next day, he came right out, confirmed it had nothing to do with the new water heater, then tracked down what the true issue was (which 2 other plumbers missed) and snaked out the pipe in our basement. Again he was quick and professional, but once he was done, he took the time to talk to us about options for fixing our p-trap in the basement floor. I will definitely use Randy in the future, and recommend him without hesitation."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Pleasant Hill, MO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
