"Finally! When friends ask if I know of a reliable, honest, plumber at reasonable cost, I have found one to give as a referral in Water Field, LLC. Tes arrived on-time and assessed what was needed to correct my pipe leak problem in short order. While waiting for his repair work on the leaky pipe to cool, Tes offered to check all the other fixtures in my home to ensure everything was in order. When I mentioned one of my toilets was not properly anchored to the floor, an annoyance to me for quite some time, he fixed it at minimal cost. Water Field, LLC is now officially my go-to plumber. "We hired Bonsby to inspect a previously backed up sewage line to determine the source of the issue and whether our upstairs neighborâ s unit is responsible, if our pipes are connected, etc. Our service tech Jairo was very knowledgeable and was able to walk me through his entire assessment (the walls were still open from the restoration work so we could see all of the pipes) he explained which pipe went where, their overlap, how everything worked and took plenty of pics/videos. He also showed me another leak in the pipes and came up with an estimate for all the necessary work on the spot. I canâ t speak to their actual work in fixing the issue but as for an inspection, Iâ m satisfied. Scheduling/rescheduling our appointment was also easy."

"Hello, I am requesting assistance from a licensed plumber/gas fitter for gas service restoration at my property: 1239 Maple Ave. Baltimore, MD 21227 BGE has determined that the prior gas service was abandoned and is now processing the project as a new gas service line and exterior meter installation. BGE will be meeting me on-site on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM to review and approve the proposed exterior meter location. I need a licensed plumber/gas fitter who can either attend that BGE site visit or come immediately afterward to evaluate the work required on the customer side of the gas system. The scope of work includes: - Inspecting the existing gas piping to determine whether any portion can be safely reused; - Extending, repairing, or replacing internal gas piping as needed; - Establishing the new customer-side gas connection point for the exterior BGE meter; - Pulling the required gas/plumbing permit; - Performing the required pressure test; - Coordinating the requir"

"Excellent service by MarKool. First it is a small company so when you call them you talk directly to the person doing the work. Second they are highly responsive. Third at the home they are very personable and answer all questions in detail. Fourth In fixing my problem they showed they are highly skilled and experienced in HVAC in this case as it pertains to gas furnace operation."

"- Plumber came and snaked the pipe. The water went down fine and he left. - Two days later the tenant said the kitchen sink was backing up again but he did not schedule an appointment because the problem went away relatively quickly. - Three weeks later Tenant sends me a video the kitchen sink being backed up again. Tenant was very clear they were careful to minimize any food that goes down the trash disposal in case it could clog up the pipe. I spoke with Definitive because I felt like I paid to have a problem fixed and the problem was not fixed; I felt some type of credit was in order. The plumber's argument was that 3 weeks had passes and that they couldn't warranty a service. Fair enough, but 3 weeks strike me as awfully short time frame, especially if food was not being thrown in the trash disposal. I googled this situation and it seems its customary and accepted practice that you pay for services rendered regardless of the results. Fair, that's fine. As far as the recurring clogging problem, it appears there are many instances where the snaking can break through the clog but can a) partially break the clog leaving grease and other debris on the sides or b) break the clog but not go down far enough whereby the debris will remain somewhere in the pipe and eventually build back up. Generally this seems to happen with amateurs that aren't thorough enough with the snaking and don't snake down far enough. It's true, my tenants could have stuffed a whole bunch of food down the drain but everything about them so far has been such that I believe them when they say they minimized the amount of food that went down the garbage disposal. To me the lack of thoroughness in the snake job seems more plausible which is why I gave them a D for quality."

"Sila was one of three companies I contacted for estimates on replacing my oil-fired systems with heat pumps. I have a boiler and two forced air furnaces, so the work would be extensive. I contacted Sila because their reviews were favorable, they sell Carrier products (which I was leaning toward), and they sell high velocity systems, which I felt might be a good option in the older part of the house where I don't have ducts. I was prepared to really go over the things that work well with ducts in the house, things that don't, and what my general asks were for the systems. The salesman was pleasant enough, but seemed completely uninterested in how I felt my current systems were and what my goals were. I asked for a price on two levels of Carrier (Performance and Inifinity) for the existing forced air systems, and then price me out for a reasonable high velocity system. The sales person who came out was pretty perfunctory and didn't take good notes while we spoke. I didn't think he was really that engaged in my concerns about the routing of high velocity ducting and placement--he just told me how it would have to be. While sometimes that's how things work, I don't think he really addressed my concerns with having all outlets in the ceiling only in the lower level, which would potentially leave me with lots of heat hanging around the ceiling. However, the larger issues were that the bids did not match the requirements for the project. First, he sent only the high velocity bid and nothing for the other systems. When i asked, he sent the other estimate, but only for the Carrier Infinity, omitting that I specifically asked for a bid on doing those systems with a Performance line that would allow me to use my existing non-communicating thermostats. In addition, their bid was the most expensive and their attention to detail seemed poor for a $40,000+ job. Spending less than an hour with me and sending lackluster boilerplate bids (with all kinds of language that should not have been in the bid, like references to other brands, etc.). A bid should be custom for the buyer and tailored for match what I'm asking for. This lack of attention to detail and customer focus lost Sila this job."

"

I called him in response to a leak coming from the ceiling in my living room -  he responded very quickly. Advised I turn off the water -was not sure which was the main water handle. I took a pic and sent it to him and he advised which one it was. Told me he wasn't sure if he could get by today. But then called me a bit later to advise he would be by that day. He was there for a bit trying to figure exactly where the leak was coming from. Cut a square area to access the pipe then replaced the section where the leak was.

FAQs for gas piping projects in Spencerville, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
