"Called the contractor, very pleased with quick response which was 30 minutes after calling the company.   In an hour Josh was at site where work needed to be done.  He went through the house determined as to how he would go about the job.  We settled the cost of the project and set up a date for 10 days later.  He finished in a lot less time than I expected, less than 8 hours.  When done, we did a walk through of the entire work he did and I've been satisfied every since. Will absolutely work with Ace Plumbing again, if needed. <br />"

"Our condo was built in 1979 and had the original electric furnace and heat pump. It also had an electric water heater. I wanted to convert to natural gas. I received quotes from 4 different companies and was impressed with all of them but Kellermeier was the lowest and also the one that I was most impressed with. Will Kellermeier was great to work with even through many changes as I revised my requirements.  <br />  I wanted the contractor to handle all of the communications with the gas company which they did. Our water heater was located on the end with the kitchen, which caused a long wait for hot water. The new gas water heater is at the opposite end of the condo which is directly under the bathrooms. Kellermeier made the necessary changes to the plumbing and vented the heater to the outside. The installer - Rick - was at our condo promptly every morning, was very courteous and friendly, and did an excellent job on the installation!!  <br /> They installed a Trane XV95 gas furnace, a trane XL16i air conditioner, a Trane "clean effects" air filter, and a Bradford White 50 gallon water heater.  <br /> We were very pleased with the Kellermeier crew and would highly recommend them. <br />"

"Techs arrived same day afternoon as agreed. Inspected conditions and commenced snaking drain to remove clog. They experienced a little trouble due to the configuration of the piping at the soil pipe connection. They backed up and started over and were able to clear the clog. They were polite and courteous, wore shoe protection, and cleaned up afterward. Very satisfied with the experience."

"Our Chimney sweep, Jason, did and excellent job. First he inspected up on the roof top. Then he cleaned and did a safety inspection of our gas insert. He explained what he found and how we can use our fireplace more safely. He answered our questions and gave recommendations for our future fireplace remodel."

"Very happy with service. Had a slowly draining shower and called to schedule a cleaning. They called back immediately (it was a Sunday) and scheduled a cleaning for the next morning. We received a call later that they had openings the same day if we were interested. Plumber showed up shortly thereafter and cleaned the shower drain in under 5 mins. We would use them again for sure"

"Tiny crawl space and an old house with lots of oddities in the structure. I was extremely sick with frozen pipes and no running water. I called at 8:45 before they were even open, they were so nice and made time to get to my house within just an hour!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Sylvania, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
