"Last year (2021), I hired Casteel to upgrade my HVAC system, tankless water heater, update the pipes in my basement, install a pump for washing machine and bring my electricity. "I had a plugged up kitchen sink that drained very slowly and was backing up into my dishwasher. The plumber put a snake down the pipe and it sort of unplugged it temporarily but not entirely, and it quickly plugged up again after a day or so. He said he thinks he got the plug out but I needed a new vent cap put on and then it should work properly. He wanted $600 to put on a new vent cap. I felt that was way, way over priced and declined. My son went out and bought a 50" snake and he got the plug out and my sink works perfectly. I felt that since the plumber did not fix the problem I should get my money back but apparently the owner does not think so since they did not call me back to tell me I could get a refund after I called and explained the situation and said I felt I should get a refund. No, I would not recommend them to anyone."

"They replaced a gas pipe (about 35 feet) and the original quote was $1,160.00, but ended up being $1,900.00+ when they finished because of the materials they had to purchase. While they explained that the materials may increase the quoted price, they did not indicate that it might be $800 or more. Aside from this, the Company and the Plumber they sent were very professional and the quality of work was great. Next time, however, I will know to request specifics regarding additional materials cost, and I advise others to do so as well."
