Brian arrived promptly to the house I am looking to buy, even if I didn't, and started with the outside. He was very thorough, systematically working each level, checking every outlet, fixture, seam. He is obviously very knowledgeable as a former builder/contractor (I think) and licensed inspector. He was happy to discuss right/wrong ways to do things. He pointed out both good and bad observations as we went through the house, although there were very few bad things. He made suggestions about how to improve things - things that weren't necessary and weren't "findings". All told, we spent 3 hours on a relatively new 2000 sq ft with 2 full and 2 half-baths. He very promptly wrote a thorough report that cited everything with details down as small as areas that should be re-caulked. He's very friendly and obviously happy to do what he does. I highly recommend him to do your inspection.

Brian Jackson and Jackson Inspections are an incredible value and were one of the best customer service, and inspection experiences I have had. I have renovated apartments flipped homes and purchased several personal properties, and I have always prioritized finding a good inspector who will take their time to go in depth with their inspection and be extremely thorough. Brian called me Friday night within an hour of me posting my request on home advisor and let me interview him for nearly 45 minutes with questions I had about what he would provide. I requested also a sample report and walked through it with him. Not only was he courteous and very knowledgeable he was extremely detailed and responsive with his answers. ( I have been working in real estate and general construction for ten years in another state and am very meticulous in what I expect from an inspection ). Brian showed up 10 minutes early to the inspection time and spent 5 hours going through every single nook and cranny in the house, crawled under the deck, the attic, checked every appliance and outlet. He was thorough was not rushing and excelled at not only catching small details but also using his extensive general contracting and inspection experience to facilitate my questions ( i had many as we walked through ) and point out items of concern and interest. I purchased a home through an estate sale and the house had sat for about 6 months without a tenant while the estate settled. Brian checked every thing and his welcoming, warm, and professional attitude made the 5 hours pass very quickly. I was well assured and felt excellent after our inspection that it was done with utmost care and professionalism and would be how I would have had my previous inspection/realestate/contracting team in my former state do it. Brian is now my go to inspector on my rolodex for friends family and business investment properties in state as the person you need to call. His rates were also very fair for the home and space and were honestly a great deal given the quality of service we received. Highly highly highly recommend. We cannot speak highly enough of Mr. Jackson. Brian Jackson performed two different home inspections for me and was on call for a third home that did not pan out. At both inspections, Mr. Jackson took more than three hours to complete the home inspection. He was thorough. He encouraged us to tag along and explained things in detail as he found issues. We felt confident that he had caught almost all or all of the issues present in the home. Mr. Jackson returned his report to us the same day as the inspection both times. Additionally, his report was detailed, with a picture of each problem he found. He also rated each problem as a safety issue, aesthetics issue, etc. This rating helped the homeowner see that they needed to make certain repairs, which they did without question. I attribute some of their receptiveness to the thorough nature of Mr. Jacksons report. Mr. Jackson was available via phone and text whenever we had scheduling issues or questions. His responses were prompt and helpful. Finally, Mr. Jackson was a super cool guy to chat with for 3-4 hours. Being new to the area, I will definitely be inviting him and his wife over for dinner once we have our dining room table and some chairs! I cannot speak highly enough of Mr. Jackson or his services.

Quick response, thorough inspection, and detail report.

Extremely thorough and the report is easy to understand with the pictures for each part.

He was prompt and courteous but failed to notice that the home had current roof had an ongoing leak and did not tell us that the roof on the front of the house differed from the roof ion the back. We incurred a cost of several thousand dollars to replace the roof after purchasing our new home. We would have negotiated with the sellers had we known the goof needed replacement
