"Ramos was prompt, reliable, efficient and reasonably priced — the four things you want from anyone doing work for you. So far, they have just been cutting my lawn and blowing the leaves clear of my sidewalks and driveway, but I anticipate asking more from them in 2025."

"In early June, I contracted with Robco to build a deck with a $10K deposit, but still have yet to complete the permitting process. Today is Oct 14. In the past, when they wanted to reach me, it was fast. There were challenges - Wake County referred the permitting over to Cary. Cary said today they're waiting on Robco. For 10 days, I've been unable to contact anyone via phone or the portal - all voicemail boxes are full. I have a bad feeling they've gone under. A+ up til now."

"From the start I knew that Woodlands was a company that I wanted to do business with. I wasn't really sure how much to spend on an outdoor patio and kitchen since there wasn't really that many reviews on Angie's List. When Scott quoted what it would cost for the full project I was hit with sticker shock. Thankfully Scott worked with us to break our project into two main phases. Phase 1 would be patio, seating wall, and the first set of accent lights. Phase 2 would be the outdoor kitchen and more accent lights. During each of the visits Scott measured and remeasured to make sure he was accurate. We also went over the numbers each time to make sure everything was still on budget.
For phase 1 Scott's team came out and dug the footers and graded the ground for the install. During this time there was a lot of rain and it turned our yard into a huge mud pit. But the team did't let a little rain deter them. They were there everyday and worked at least 10 hours a day. Knowing that we were doing our project in two main phases, Scott's team ran conduit for the electric and water connections for phase two. This way, they didn't have to rip out a lot of pavers to run the connections, they just had to pop out a couple of blocks. Once phase 1 was complete Scott's team graded the yard to smooth over all the bobcat tracks, planted grass seed, and laid down straw.
For phase 2 Scott's team built my 9 foot by 13 foot kitchen, installed all of the appliances, hooked up the water, and added more accent lights. Again his team worked at least 10 hours a day and on the last day I believe they put in a 12+ hour day to meet the agreed upon date. After the work was completed, they regraded the yard, planted grass seed, and laid down straw.
Through the whole experience Scott and his wife Jenny were a pleasure to work with. I could always get in touch with them whenever I had a question or a concern."

It all started with a trip to the Azores of Portugal. RTA's co-founder went there to meet his wife's family… And had his first encounter with an outdoor kitchen. The charm of that kitchen went far beyond providing meals. It served as an inviting gathering space, and offered moments to break bread together.\n\nThe inspiration from that outdoor kitchen was bottled up and shipped back to the US. Unfortunately, there was a lack of accessible options in America in the early 2010's. Someone needed to rethink the conventional approach of construction. Thus began the journey, with a goal of remastering the outdoor kitchen.

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Albemarle, NC

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
