"I got to say I was a little hesitant to go with Clear All Cooling and Heating. The reviews on google + HomeAdvisor seemed way to good to be true. So I proceeded to contact 7 other "big named" companies. Quote after quote I received it was obvious that Clear All was by far the best. The other companies weren't even close (again this made me hesitant). Over the 9 months it took me to finally change out Boiler + Oil tank I finally figured it was worth giving Brian a shot. The day of installation couldn't have gone any better! Brian works with a fantastic team of people. The Oil tank was removed seemlessly without any oil or damage to my vinyl floors. The installation went well too! Brian came on time and stayed 11 hours until the majority of the job was done. He told me he'd be back Monday to finish wiring up the thermostats and he showed up and on time! I couldn't; recommend Brian and his team enough. Coming from somebody who wants to get the most bang for the buck I urge you to use Brian. This is the first review I have ever left a business, and I am doing it so you make the right decision. Go with Brian, unlike most things in life he is NOT to good to be true! I went with a Energy Kinetics 3 zone Oil boiler + new Oil tank. and I could not be happier! If you aren't sure what system to go with I'd recommend going with an energy kinetics boiler. Brian installed it seamlessly and it is amazing how quiet it is! Brian is an incredible human, I am so happy I found him. He will service all of my needs in the future as well as be the guy I refer to anybody who needs somebody to do some boiler work! USE THIS COMPANY I URGE YOU! THEY ARE THE ONE AND ONLY QUOTE YOU WILL NEED TO GET! Trust me and save yourself hours of aggravation and stress of trying to find somebody. I hope this helps you make the right descison to use Brian and. Clear All Cooling and Heating!"

"We needed our boiler replaced and had multiple companies come and look at the job. We ended up selecting Sila as we read good reviews on the company. Sila surpassed our expectations. The tech who performed the install (Gage) was on time, communicated the entire process to us from start to finish and did a tremendous job. He also made sure to clean up afterwards and was very professional. We would absolutely hire Sila again!"

"Diagnosis and repair were straightforward and the talented Mike, who has done other great work for us on our ACs, had a replacement pump in his truck. Swapped over in under an hour. Cost of the repair was quite high, mainly due to very high price they charged for the pump. A Taco pump that I could buy for $175 was priced on this repair at more than $500. I get that it was an urgent situation and I’m happy to pay reasonably for the response but that mark-up bothered me. I called the office, had a long talk with the owner; sadly, she offered no consideration at all. Yes, it’s hard to find and keep skilled techs, but now seems that most HVAC firms have a business model like a car dealer’s service dept, far more corporate, less flexible or customer-considerate."

"When we were ready to build a new house, we had intended to install a geo-thermal system because of its extreme energy efficiency, but when the bids came in, the cost was too high. On the very day we were researching what our next best option would be, Bill McGinley (who we had interviewed a month before, but who does not install geo-thermal) called out of the blue with an idea for us to consider. He was at that time installing his first two Acadia Cold Climate Heating and Air Conditioning heat pump system, and thought we should consider it. He gave us the website, and we did our research, and it was exactly what we needed. About the same energy efficiency as the geo-thermal system--at one third the cost. We hired Bill. Bill and his team worked in brutally cold, windy and icy conditions to get this complicated high-tech system installed. Also, because our timeline was left short because of the repeated weather delays, they had to do it all with the carpenters, electricians, plumbers, insulators and me all underfoot and in the way. Yet they were friendly and accommodating toward everybody and kept the environment upbeat and amiable. Which is not to say the job was without its surprises and obstacles. When Bill got a better idea of the size and shape of the house, and how well it was insulated, he downgraded us to a smaller system that saved us more than $2000. But, then that same super-tight insulation also required us to have an air exchanger installed to keep fresh air flowing through the house. They installed that, and still came in well under-budget. I have to say, though, that through this house-building experience, I learned a lot about just how badly the building industry is hurting. Most of the companies bid low and campaign hard to get the contract, and then charge you frightfully high time-and-materials for every little thing they can convince you was not part of their contract, and those bills don't come in till near the end of the job, destroying your budget and your trust. Not Bill. If a change was no big deal, he just did it. Even for some that were a big deal--like having to move the air exchanger exhaust vent because the building inspector did not understand that it was simply exhausting house air into the garage--he did not charge extra. If a really costly change had to be made (like the air exchanger), he could be talked down to a price that made me feel better about it. When I decided to make a change--like expanding from two to four zones, Bill gave me a great price. If I had a complaint of any kind, Bill would talk it through with me until it was resolved to my satisfaction. Bill has been back several times to tweak the system (or reset it when we failed to read the instructions. He is unshakably patient, kind and cheerful. We could not be happier with McGinley and Sons and would enthusiastically recommend them without reservation."

"Working with LPH was very simple. Dave showed up on time for appointment for the estimate. Brian and Denny showed up on time for the install and worked non-stop until the job was done. They had to trouble shoot some issues due to the older house construction but it all worked out well. They did very nice work and were open to my requests. I would definitely recommend LPH."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Amherst, NH

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
