"I had the pleasure of working with Pur4 Studios for a restaurant up-fit project, and I am thrilled to share my experience. From the beginning, Eric and the team were incredibly easy to communicate and work with. They listened attentively to our needs and vision, offering valuable insights and creative ideas to enhance the space. One aspect that truly stood out was their dedication to following up with the township when we faced logistical challenges. They took it upon themselves to ensure that all necessary permits and approvals were obtained promptly, sparing us the hassle and allowing us to focus on other aspects of the project. Their proactive approach and commitment to resolving any issues that arose demonstrated their professionalism and attention to detail. Overall, working with Pur4 Studios was a seamless and enjoyable experience. Their expertise in the restaurant up-fits, combined with their excellent communication skills and commitment to customer satisfaction, made them an invaluable partner in bringing our vision to life. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a design and architecture firm that goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional results."

Remodeling
"We had Tristate completely demo/remodel 2 bathrooms. Before starting both bathrooms had serious problems (mold, tub disconnected from water supply & drain, lack of insulation, cutoff from HVAC, etc.) The work was completed with results beyond our expectations. When selecting materials for each room we were not always satisfied with choices Tristate had available for floor and shower tiles. However, this was not an issue because we were allowed to select tiles from either The Home Depot or Lowes as long as we did not exceed a specific price per square foot. We chose Lowes because the tiles were superior to the Home Depot. The fixtures that we chose and Tristate provided were excellent, especially the innovative American Standard Vortex Toilet. These toilets allow you to insert a Lysol cartridge into a special slot that is located in a Vortex water channel (rather than within the water tank) that water circulates through before entering the bowl. This technology almost eliminates the need to clean the toilet bowls each week. Each bathroom now has full LED lighting, exhaust fans, in-wall insulation, GFA outlets, plenty of towel racks/rings, shower shelves, etc. The vanity in my wife's bathroom is really excellent with a custom cut granite vanity top. My downstairs bathroom was not large enough for a full vanity, but yet I did not want a pedestal either. Tristate was able to supply us with a shallow-depth vanity to easily accommodate my needs. Throughout the project the Tristate team was able to offer us good and reasonable solutions to address our issues. Even when the work commenced, the remodeling team that actually performed the work on both bathrooms would make suggestions for adjustments in our original plan that would result in higher satisfaction. In addition, the remodeling team was very trustworthy, allowing me to leave the house in their care while I ran errands and met my appointments (doctors, lunch, etc.) This was very desirable because our project spanned 2 months due to the need to measure, manufacture, and custom fit my wife's vanity granite counter top. I simply could not put my life on hold during that time span. No worries, I was able to leave the house and conduct my business without issue. When the team needed my input they had my cell number so that we could continue via text without my need to be present. The team was always courteous, cleaned up after ending work each day, and they were careful not to damage anything in the house. Din everything go smoothly? No, but we didn't really expect it to since there were so many issues with our old bathrooms. But the team helped us work through the issues which resulted in high satisfaction. In the end, would I recommend Tristate for remodeling - YES! My wife and I intend to use Tristate for additional projects (our house has many remodeling needs) once we pay off our home equity line of credit. Thanks Tristate!"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
