They aren't, they are a national franchise with the serviceman located an hour away. 2.) I had a simple repair, but they couldn't provide an estimate over the phone. Once the serviceman arrived, he pulled out a standard pricing book (there is no adjustment for each job), so they could've provided pricing when I called. 3.) You pay $79 for the technician to come to your house. Even if you have them perform the work, they still charge the technician service fee... most companies kill this fee if you take the job. 4.) The pricing was excessive for a 1.5-2 hour job. Total $500 to replace a shower faucet (this is in addition to the cost of the new faucet, which I thankfully purchased in advance). Was desperate this time, but will choose a local privately owned plumber next time."
