He took multiple humidity readings of the walls and floors to determine what needed to be done in my basement to prevent water damage. My basement carpet was soaking wet and he removed the damaged carpet and padding quickly and set up several fans to prevent further water damage, especially to my walls. He was able to work around large furniture items that were unable to be removed before he showed up. Worked diligently to minimize water damage."

"Justin and his crew have been amazing to work with every step of the way. 0ur roof was damaged in a storm last summer and we put it off until this year to have it looked at. The clean-up was fine, it's the pricing that was concerning.

I was very disappointed in the billing and cost of the services Dry Air Restoration (Shakopee, MN) provided.  The first estimate came back at $1925.00, but once they found out insurance was going to cover the clean up costs, their bill jumped up to $3,686.52 for the exact same services as indicated in their initial estimate.  We were told by this organization, that if insurance was covering the claim, they bill differently than if the bill will be paid for without insurance.

I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable recommending a company that takes advantage of its customers like this.  Regardless if insurance covers the clean-up and repair, the work performed is the same.

"I think the finishing around the window could've been a little bit nicer. Our basement isn't really finished. It still the brick wall, cement wall.It just seems like it could've been finished off more than it was. They were quick. I didn't see a lot of debris or anything. I know sawing through cement can be messy but they seemed to be very clean and efficient. They were out here pretty quick. We checked around and they were very reasonable."

"The initial phone call with Shaun went well; he was very responsive and pleasant to speak to. He gave me an idea of the overall service, the precautions he used to assure there wouldn't be any risk to damage siding. He asked a few questions about the dimensions of the home to determine a cost estimate (site unseen). During the exchange I asked about potential up charges for a 2 story with a walk-out back (3rd story), to which Shaun commented that it would all be considered at the same rate as the base rate just extended for the additional square footage. The service was originally scheduled for Oct 22nd, but due to unforeseen circumstances the morning of, Shaun had to reschedule to Oct 30th. The target start time on the 30th was 11:00 but received a call during the morning notifying it would be later start; work started after 1:30. The day of service came and went. Upon inspection the next day, the house looked better having been washed, but there were a number of notable disappointments. 1- I noticed after the siding dried there were visible streaks where the siding was (power washed) clean vs. where the siding just got wet. This was noticeable on all sides of the house but especially in the front (example picture). I spent between 1-2 hours cleaning it up the most visible spots. It is an off white siding so I understand it is a tad difficult to detect what has been washed vs when it gets wet, especially on a cloudy day. 2- There were two or three spots that just got missed... these spots were dirt-brown and stretched a few feet and should have been noticeable (example picture). 3- when the invoice arrived, it was ~$80 more than what I expected the charge to be during the initial phone call. However, the invoice was in the range of a competitive quote that I had received so I didn't push back too hard on the discrepancy. In all, the house looks better after the service, but given my disappointment for time I put in after the fact and for the cost (and extra cost), I think I'll take a DIY approach next time."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"It went perfect.  They are my go to people and will always request their services as needed!  They did a kitchen addition including a bathroom in 2006 which was also without complaint.  Love these guys!!!
