"Had wade install a Mitsubishi Mini Split with 4 ceiling units on the 2nd floor to assist with heating and cooling issues. The whole process was easy from beginning to end with very clear and quick communication. Also had them repair an existing system at the same time that was quick, hassle free and got me fixed up properly. I want to especially thank Lonnie, Mr Wade and the Installers for their expertise and professionalism along the way. I am extremely satisfied with the Mitsubishi units that were installed and would highly recommend their services!!!"

"Overall the multiple projects went well. More costly than expected but we did receive some discounts which helped. The only one item I would mention is that we bought an incorrect faucet/drain combination. The tech replaced the drain components but since the faucet we had was designed to have a pull lever for the drain, and the one he used was a push down stopper, the hole where the pull up leveler would have gone stayed opened. It does not look good so we now need to live with it."

"The installers were punctual. They were very professional and friendly. They cleaned everything up before they left. There was no mess. I was very satisfied with the whole process. It's only been a few weeks since the installation so I am not able to comment on the longevity of how the units run over years or the service department."

"J A Sauer has well-trained, efficient, courteous installers. They communicate well, clean up after the work, take away removed equipment, and offer maintenance advice. We have used Sauer for about four years now and have a Mitsubishi Slim system and a Carrier AC system they installed. Very happy with the work--not the least expensive, I'm sure, but fair for the quality of work and equipment they offer"

". Three years ago my dad had seen an ad about having furnaces inspected. He decided to that company come out and inspect. They told him that the heat exchanger was in bad shape and the entire furnace should be replaced. My two brothers and I decided that we wanted to get other opinions and each had a furnace company come out. I had Gravener come out and Gary looked at the furnace. He did agree that the furnace was a bit old but not that old and it all seemed to be in good order. He looked at the heat exchanger and thought it had been replaced. He took the information with him and took the time to research the furnace and exchanger. He called me a day later to tell me that my dad had made a good choice with the furnace because the company guaranteed the heat exchanger for life. It had been replaced once but it didn't need replaced at this time and if and when it does he can order the part which would be no charge and the only cost would be the labor for installation. I knew that when the furnace did need some servicing that Gravener would only do what needed to be done for a fair price. (And they did)237

FAQs for swamp cooler installation and replacement projects in Bairdford, PA

Swamp coolers are quite energy-efficient, using only 15% to 35% of the electricity that traditional central air conditioning units consume. This can lead to significant savings on your energy bills. However, keep in mind that swamp coolers require water to operate and may not cool your home as effectively in extremely hot or humid conditions. When considering overall efficiency, it is essential to weigh both electricity and water usage, as well as the cooling needs specific to your local climate.

Evaporative coolers only work in dry climates because they cool by moistening the air. If the air is already moist, this will have little to no cooling effect. Central AC is a better choice if you live in a humid climate, such as the Midwest, eastern, or western coastal regions.

To install a swamp cooler on a roof, a local HVAC specialist will first find and cut a spot free of wiring and obstructions. They’ll then install metal bracing, legs, brackets, the ceiling duct register, ductwork, power, and thermostat wires. Once installed, they’ll seal all openings, attach duct connections, and install a thermostat. Before leaving, they’ll run cool water piping to the unit and inspect all the connections.

The cost to repair your swamp cooler ranges from $50 to $600, depending on the issue, whether new parts are needed, and the chosen repair service. Depending on the type of pad your system uses, you will need to change out the pads every one to three years for proper operation. When budgeting for the cost to repair a window unit, expect to pay around $230.

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.

Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
