"My Central AC unit went out; the box outside smelled like something had fried. I called NETR, and they said they would send a technican over in a week. The technician came on time and promptly inspected the unit. He reported that the capacitor had blown, and told me that he had a spare back in his van. The labor was covered by the diagnostic site visit fee, it was just the parts cost. I told him to proceed and he replaced it. My AC was back up and running within the hour."

They replaced our forced air central heating system (oil) in a day, and were quick to respond and get to work despite how busy things were during the January cold-spell. "Excellent. I went to Angies List in a panic because it was raining in my basement when the shower was running. Less than 5 minutes after I consulted with Angies List I received a call from J. Griffin and within an hour they were at my house. I don't even know how to thank Jeff, I was expecting the worst and got the best! He knew immediately what the problem was, he clearly knew his business very well. The problem was more or less user error and I was a little embarrassed but Jeff never made me feel as though it was a bother or a nuisance to respond and he refused to charge me as much as I thought he was worth. I'm so sorry I just realized I didn't hit submit on this review. It was several months ago, but I still wanted to finish this because they were so wonderful."

"Diagnosis and repair were straightforward and the talented Mike, who has done other great work for us on our ACs, had a replacement pump in his truck. Swapped over in under an hour. Cost of the repair was quite high, mainly due to very high price they charged for the pump. A Taco pump that I could buy for $175 was priced on this repair at more than $500. I get that it was an urgent situation and I’m happy to pay reasonably for the response but that mark-up bothered me. I called the office, had a long talk with the owner; sadly, she offered no consideration at all. Yes, it’s hard to find and keep skilled techs, but now seems that most HVAC firms have a business model like a car dealer’s service dept, far more corporate, less flexible or customer-considerate."

"Great experience with Milltown. Their sales manager Jason came out twice to meet with me personally and tailor a proposal to my needs. I had some non-HVAC ancillary work needed (ice maker line) and they were happy to incorporate this. On the day of install, Derek and the onsite team were friendly, professional, and responsive to all of my questions. Price was competitive with two other bids I had solicited. I would highly recommend working with Milltown and would work with them personally again without hesitation."

"It was quite a surprise to find black mold growing in our mini-split heat-pump/ac units over the weekend! The situation was quite dire with the system emitting a bad smell and the fact that I have asthma and mold allergies which posed a serious health risk! After being told by the company that originally installed the system, “We don’t provide deep cleaning service for these units, try looking on Angie’s List (boo on Sila!)” I landed here. While other companies did respond to my bid, Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning was the most responsive and was able to send out a team on one day’s notice (the wait for other service providers was up to three weeks!). The tech team, Josh and Zack, arrived on time and called me 1/2 before arrival as promised. They were very respectful, kept a clean work space and (since we are in the middle of a pandemic) wore masks and were very careful about the usual COVID protocols. The four units in our home are now SPARKLING CLEAN! We are 110% pleased with this job!! We will hire Atlantic as need be in the future for our heating and cooling needs. I have given up on the company that originally installed the units and will post a truthful review about them in an appropriate space online. I would definitely recommend Atlantic to family and friends. (photos attached to this review show one of the units before cleaning - did not think to take after pictures. Suffice it to say, no more mold:)"

"Most of us are well aware that service calls for any home repair leave us all a little apprehensive. Some businesses focus more on the bottom line, and in turn, the quality of work suffers for the customer. This isnâ t the case with Milltown Plumbing and Heating when I called them to service my central A/C which wasn't cooling the house. Even though my unit is in need of replacement, Jay, their Field Service Technician was able to at least get the A/C up and running. He was honest and straightforward in assessing my problem and suggested I meet with a comfort advisor in regard to a new central A/C unit. My experience didn't change. The comfort advisor I met with gave me a variety of options for a replacement unit, again he was courteous and honest. If youâ re looking for a company that you can trust, a company with integrity, I would strongly recommend you contact Milltown Plumbing and Heating for any of the services they provide."
