"I bought a really nice regency gas fireplace from South Shore Fireplace and couldn't have been happier with the way they treated me and completed the installation. They were the most attentive and considerate companies I approached which is why I went with them. We couldn't get the time of day from other fireplace stores. These guys were right on the ball from the start. Spent a lot of time going over the different stoves and options that go with them all. The installation was scheduled and went very well. Installers were very thorough and clean. This was a complete installation, needed the chimney as well as the stove. Everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Recently, the stove I picked had a recall and I was informed and updated by Scott as soon as he had news. This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. When the replacement part came in, they scheduled the work IMMEDIATELY and I met Jon, one of the senior techs and installers. Jon was on time, meticulous and thorough. Very clean and organized as you would expect a master craftsman to be. The repair went very well and made my stove run better than ever before. When your happy with a job someone does for you, you hardly ever write a review but something turns sour, people can't write one quick enough. When I need something done, I go online and read all the awful reviews of probably great companies so I do not hire them. This review is for all of you that are like me and come here to get the low down on a business. Do not hesitate to go with South Shore Fireplace. It is very hard to find craftsman who really care about what they do and also so nice to deal with. South Shore Fireplace will be my go to guys for the rest of my life. "My only problem was that they removed more duct work than I had asked. This was most likely due to the fact that my schedule prohibited me from meeting with them to show exactly what was to be removed. Dudley immediately recognized that I wasn't 100% happy and wanted to deduct the cost of replacing the extra duct work from the bill. Since I was having trouble with my other contractors though, I wasn't able to get a fair cost of the extra expense. Since Dudley did a good job themselves, I was happy just knowing they were willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied."

"This was among the best experiences I have had with any third-party contractor, period. We did an expensive central A/C replacement. Seashore Comfort was knowledgeable, responsive, professional and technically proficient. We needed a 20-year old A/C unit replaced. I called four area HVAC specialists and almost didn't call Seashore because they had relatively few online reviews (although the ones they did have were positive). Turns out the company was started relatively recently by a veteran tech and his wife, who worked locally for a couple of decades. Every aspect of this project was impressive - from the front-office communication to the quoting process to the technical description of what are options were to the quality and craftsmanship of the install. Furthermore, I _almost_ went with a different quote from the local "giant" and that would have been a huge mistake. It took quite a bit of technical research and education on my part but what that company was proposing would not have been the best choice of solution for our application. That would have been a costly, long-term mistake. So, in short, this is a scrappy young company with the all the benefit of experience of a much older company. Proceed without reservation."

"The guy came and cleaned the furnace but he didn't install the filter correctly and he actually destroyed the filter when he installed it. I followed up with the company. I told them and sent them pictures. They acknowledged and were very sorry. In return, they sent me 2 filters as replacements, one for the faulty one and one because it was their fault. I would say they were good in customer service."
