He listened to my questions and answered them fully and simply. Very reasonable rates. A few days later, when an unrelated issue occurred, he spent quite a while with me on the phone to see if I could fix the issue without a service call. Very appreciated! "Ken called before he came and got here on time. He was alone as he said his helper was not to be there today. He worked hard. Explained everything about my AC unit inside, air ducts and advised of things I could make it better and also what things my regular service checks should look for. He opened and cleaned the entire ac unit of ducts, sucked out, did each register, cleaned those outside and sucked and cleaned out with a roto brush while sucking. Put all back together. Little mess. I just swept floors and vacuumed a bit. His units to decrease mold installed are so much cheaper than any others! This guy is great and busy. Only Takes checks or cash, but only $199.00 for unlimited ducts /one unit. He works hard and alone took 3 hours! Good work. Sanitize also! House is clean! Thank you ! Telling my Neighbors!"

"I contacted several a/c places where I had failed attempts of service and loss of money, I eventually ran across West Coast Air and the guy was very professional and prompt with his service. Roy, one of the owners called me and left a voice mail on 1/21/2014. I returned his call on 01/23/2014 and he had already spoken to the 2 technicians about the service calls, so he had the complete details in front of him when we spoke. I apologized to him for not reaching out to him earlier with my concerns. I now believe that this matter would have been resolved back in September, if I had picked up the phone and called Payne A/C's offices and spoken to Roy or one of the other owners. Roy and I came to a mutual agreement, which I believe was satisfactory and fair to both Payne A/C and me. After speaking with Roy, I can tell that Payne Air Conditioning and Heating is definitely focused on customer service. In fact, after we resolved my issue on the A/C repair, I brought up my upcoming purchase of a new A/C unit and we discussed some of the options. Roy gave me some ideas to think about, as he is very knowledgeable about the industry. In fact, due to our conversation I will be calling Payne A/C and Heating for a quote later this year when we decide to purchase a new A/C unit.



Since this was a holiday weekend I had called 2 or 3 companies to see who could come out, when and how much it would cost. Obviously, it came as a surprise when their serviceman came to my home with no advance notice. No call, no appointment, no discussion regarding price, etc.., which to me was very unprofessional. UPDATE: Per Roy, this was highly unusual. The technicians or office staff normally call in advance. He looked at my unit and determined that the problem was that it required Freon. Knowing my unit was over 10 years old, needed to be replaced soon and required the expensive Freon, I inquired numerous times whether he was sure that was the problem. I explained that I was very hesitant about adding the type of Freon required by my unit as it uses the old type which is not good for the environment, is very expensive and I had been previously told not to bother adding it. He was quite adamant that, that was the problem and proceeded to add quite a few units of Freon (a couple of $100 dollars). A few hours after he left the a/c quit working again and I had to call Payne Air Conditioning and Heating to come back out.
The 2nd repairman came out the next day. Yes, it was hot that night. The actual problem was a blockage in the a/c lines. He took care of the blockage and charged us for that repair,but not for an additional service call. However, he stated that he could see how the original misdiagnosis occurred and that the 1st serviceman was one of their best, etc, etc...And he said since the Freon was added and was expensive, it couldn't be credited. I think he may have spoken to someone in the office, but I am not sure. He did state that he thought that if we decided to buy a new a/c from Payne they probably would credit both service calls to the cost of a new a/c.
My personal feeling is that Payne should have credited me for the Freon that was added due to their serviceman's misdiagnosis. However, I understand that I have to accept part of the blame for only taking it up with the 2nd repair person and not reaching out to their office."
