"I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running—without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement. "Furnace was not operating because the company's automatic delivery system ran me out of oil.
Technician showed up promptly and got the furnace operating but could not get heat into the house. Had to reschedule to have zone valves replaced. Technician show up late and didn't have the required parts. Had to reschedule again.
The third technician showed up on time with all the correct parts and worked most of the day to get the system operating properly.
He was completely knowledgeable and very conciencious that everything was working correctly.

They reconfigured an awkward gas pipe near my washing machine, replaced an exterior gas hose with a UV resistant one, and checked all gas piping including our gas fireplace. "I had a nightmare situation with my home warranty company where I had been waiting 50+ days with no end in site for getting my AC fixed. I just needed a fan motor and capacitor but they were doing nothing. I called Grove & Son and not only did he agree to come out, but he had a couple cancellations and offered to come earlier. He ordered the parts needed, had them overnighted and in 2 days my unit was fixed and is running fantastic. "It was worth the cost to have a spacious vehicle and not to worry whether they would show up and be on time, but on the return trip there were plenty of cabs waiting at the Metro station, and we paid one of them less than half that. Still, next time I *have* to get to an airport or train station on time, I would probably pay that premium to use him again."

"I called in the morning to see if they could get me in for a brake job that day and they said yes, when I got there I asked if they had time could they take care of the 100k service and a few items I wanted to check and replace if needed if they had time.   They said they would call me with an estimate on the brakes and offer some options on the other services I requested.  They called me 30 minutes after dropping it off saying the brakes still had 40% left.  The whole reason I thought it needed brakes was the dealership had told me in January during an oil change that they needed replacing, the serpentine belt needed replacing,and so on.  I skipped doing the brakes and did all items on the 100k mi service and looked at some other wear items.  In the end I did the required service at 100k, transmission, transfer case, front and rear differential fluid flushes and change.  The list of things I had concerns about and like to replace just due to age, they inspected and did not recommend replacing at this time.  I have always gotten my service done at the dealership for all my cars, this experience along with the reviews here that led me to contact them in the first place changed that.

"I don't know which part needs to be repaired. So I bought both toilet water tanks. They came and replaced it but they close the door, I guess they don't want me to see how they repair it. It stopped the leak, but the other part started leaking again after 1 year. But the price is good."
