"Terrible. We decided to order new garage doors through the provider. After significant delays and a number of phone calls and other communications that were not returned, the doors finally arrived. We were asked for more payment as there were additional "issues" with the installation. We had another garage program ongoing at the time of delivery (we waited 4mo plus for installation after being told it would be 6-8 weeks), and were not able to accommodate the installation of the openers we had ordered. The provider asked for full payment with multiple promises of return, but never did after 6 months. We have a series of unreturned phone calls and communications.

"Roland is extremely helpful and accommodating, with tons of experience and a wide range of expertise. He gave good advice and did quality work, and we're very pleased with the results. He's in demand but came over whenever time in his schedule opened up, which we really appreciated. We will definitely call him again for future projects! Thank you Roland!"

"Derek was punctual, courteous, determined and patient.  Everything went "as expected" while he installed the mount to the wall, but when it came time to actually putting the tv onto the mount, he ran into a bit of a "snag".  I know this sounds like a simple task, but removing the tv stand from the tv was probably the hardest part of the install.
There was no obvious way to remove the stand, so after several minutes of both Derek and my brother-in-law doing everything conceivable to remove it, they asked if I still had the manual.  Of course I couldn't find it (even after almost 20 minutes of searching) but I did find the box (which had the model number on it).   So Derek took to the internet.  He searched the entire directory of the company to find out how to remove the stand from a decades old tv.  It was so old that he had to go into the company's archives to discover that in order to get to where the stand was attached to the tv, 3 layers of coverings had to be removed.  I am sure that this install took Derek much longer than he had bargained for, yet he remained pleasant and professional the entire time.
**When I first purchased this Big Deal, I figured the price to be a fair price based on the time and labor I thought the install probably would require.  But considering all the time that Derek was there and all of the effort he put in to ensuring I was a happy customer, I now rate both the price and the entire experience as EXCELLENT.

"The job went very well overall. I answered an ad in a local newspaper advertising exterior painting. Russ (the owner) is a general contractor who usually builds new homes, and I got the sense that this part of his business for him is slower than usual given the economy and the current national housing situation. He came to my home on a weekend morning at my request to bid on the job, provided an estimate quickly (and well below other estimates already received). He faxed and sent to me his business insurance documents, and his business checked out well on the contractor check website. His painter Lynn and her crew were prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job with the exterior painting, even doing a custom color around front door and trim and painting hand railings and exterior water fixtures at no additional cost. She addressed a neighbor's concern about a few paint chips on her driveway quickly and cleaned up to everyone's satisfaction. Though the job took a bit longer than I had anticipated (about a month, partly due to weather delays), it was completed to my great satisfaction and at a very reasonable cost."

"Our 16' x 16' family room had wall to wall carpet that we replace with cork flooring. Joe assisted in recommending a supplier in our area for the cork floor, with whom we were pleased. He also recommended adding trim around the fireplace, and insulation underneath this room which has a crawlspace. He discussed with us the downsides of cork flooring (fades, yellows, can't handle a lot of water). While we already knew this, I was encouraged by him discussing this with us before we purchased the flooring supplies.Everyday Joe and his guy helping him cleaned up after themselves. When there was a machine to be left for the next day, he asked me before hand. It took a good amount of cleanup each day which i really appreciated as my children would have found scraps to play with. All the details and edging is great. My husband and I were extremely happy with the results. Details that I didn't think of and he pointed out, I realize now would would have bothered me if hadn't handled as he did.I did not necessarily know what day\time Joe would be at my house each day. He was working another job at the same time, which he had discussed with me. In the end, he got the job done by my deadline.2.5 years later, with a family and dog on the floor our family room every day, the work is holding up perfectly. It looks wonderful, there are no gaps, it is all smooth\flat, and I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the work that was done."

FAQs for garage door opener installation and replacement projects in Carolina, RI

A chain-drive opener costs less, but it’s louder and needs more upkeep. If your budget allows, a belt-drive model is often the smarter long-term buy, especially for an attached garage with a bedroom above where noise matters. The decision between a chain or belt opener comes down to your budget and needs, and your garage door opener installer can help you choose an option that best suits you.

Choosing the right horsepower for your garage door opener is crucial for safe and efficient performance. Your garage door’s design and material determine the required horsepower. A single-car garage demands a half horsepower rating, while a two-car garage requires a rating between three-fourths and 1.25 horsepower. Selecting the proper power level ensures optimum performance and durability over the life of the opener.

Plan on a quick garage door tune-up once or twice a year. Tighten the chain or belt, lubricate moving parts, test the safety sensors, and swap out weak batteries in the remotes or backup unit. A few dollars in lubricant and 30 minutes of work can fend off costly repairs, keep the door running smoothly, and help the opener hit its full life expectancy.
