"We had three estimates and Roger was our clear choice because he noticed so many important things that needed fixing that the other two missed. His higher level of expertise was obvious. This work included many projects, involving a tremendous amount of labor. It took several weeks to totally complete. Roger offered suggestions for our front steps, which could have been left as concrete but we decided to splurge and use our favorite rock as an overlay. We special ordered Morton Gneiss (rock) from Coldspring for the step overlays and the buttress caps, in addition to the special order of two colors of brick for the buttresses. We personally researched and chose the rock and the brick. Roger has the experience and expertise to know what should be done and how best to do it. We enjoyed meeting and working with Roger and his crew. He has the most amazing crew of extremely experienced and expert workers. We can't say enough good things about Curtis, Chris, and Chaz. Their work was remarkably meticulous and skilled and showed the pride they take in it. In addition, they are very personable and courteous. They tidied up before leaving each day. If they came upon unforeseen problems, they discussed them with us and then fixed them, some at no extra charge. They even prepared a base and moved the two former heavy concrete buttress caps to our boulevard to use as a walkway at no charge. As a potential customer, if Roger doesn't get back to you right away, don't give up because he does return calls and he is most definitely worth the wait. He is extremely busy and we feel very fortunate that he was the contractor for our project."

They were very friendly and professional and unlike other companies respected the fact I wanted to do this in February. They were very supportive and didn't try to pressure a same day sale. "All the workers that came to our house were efficient, helpful and reasonably on time.  But the company office appeared to be poorly organized to respond if something out of the ordinary occurred.  The inspecting and cleaning of chimneys was done quickly and cleanly.  The installation of the wood burning insert was scheduled in 2 steps.  First the unit would be installed, then a week later another person would perform first start-up and explain how to use and maintain it.  When the installers arrived they discovered the box had been opened and several parts were missing.  They called store right away and left a message.  They did as much as they could without getting a call back from the store, so they left the job incomplete.  A day passed and we heard nothing from the store.  I called the salesman I had worked with and left a message.  No call back.  My wife called and by interrogating the receptionist learned they were working on the problem, were trying to order the missing parts.  I called again and caught the salesman at his desk.  He claimed to not know the current state of the problem.  "It's in the hands of the parts department."  Unhappy, my wife tried again demanding contact with someone superior to the salesman. She was given the number for Ken and I called him.  Now I learned they were going to take parts from a demo unit and install them on the start up date to meet the schedule commitment.  On the start up date the installer called to tell us he was delayed 2 hours at another site.  While waiting for him the city inspector showed up when the store had scheduled his visit.  We explained the installation had not been completed, he glanced at it quickly, and left saying something about rescheduling.  When the installer arrived he finished the installation and did a good job of teaching us about the unit.  He called the store and left a message about the city inspector.  The store did not call us back.  I placed calls to both the store inspection department and the city inspector.  Neither of them returned my call so we can only assume that an understanding was reached between the store and the city and we are legal.
The unit appears to be well designed and performing as intended.

"I initially contacted CK Tile and Stone in May and they said they were swamped as a result of their 'Big Deal' promotion $550 for 40 Sq ft of back splash till end of July (fancy designs, materials, could cost extra). We decided that we'd wait for things slow down for them. Then in July they said they had a cancellation and could fit us in.
We had already purchased our tiles and we took longer to come up with a design for the section above the range while they were on-sitee. We had an additional area at the table next to the pantry that that worked on as well. This was a 2 day effort to let the grout/tile adhesives to dry. They were accommodating to our design ideas and provided ideas of their own.
The overall workmanship and quality looks great! They cleaned up the left over debris and materials. They came back a 3rd day since we requested additional caulking and sealing (for the limestone tiles). We are very satisfied and would love to have them over to do the same when we decide to finish our basement!

"I'll make this short, but could write a novel. From the start he was great to work with, then once work began dates kept getting pushed and pushed. the wrong garage door was installed, I had a garage door opener installed that I didn't ask for (but am glad it's there now), the service door was the wrong swing, the apron had to be redone due to being the wrong size and it didn't have a slope to it. I heard over and over that he was just the messenger to relay the information to his sub-contractors. the project was completed one month after the 'promised' completion date. Once the project was comlete I have to say that I'm happy with the finished product, just the process was VERY frustrating. That's the short version...take it for what you will."

"In Spring 2012, we obtained quotes from three companies to tear out two existing retaining walls along the driveway and re-build them using Versalok, excavate and grade the backyard, and build a 3.5 - 4 foot retaining wall in the backyard using the stone from the old retaining walls. Genadek had the middle quote; they were also the only company to follow up with a phone call. The whole job took about 4 1/2 weeks. Stan, Mike, Tim,  Rob and Andrew were very professional and friendly; our neighbors even raved about them. They cleaned up the job site at the end of each day and communicated frequently so there were no surprises.
My only recommendation to those interested in hiring Genadek is to get on their schedule early. Their calendar books up fast!

"I needed a pipe replaced in my shower as it was an old lead pipe that was leaking inside the wall. I also needed the ceramic tile replaced around the large hole I created to find the leak. Unfortunately the existing tile is from the 1950s and the size is no longer available. The serviceman was able to complete my project efficiently and within my budget, as well as create an esthetically pleasing tile job and replaced the drain spout per my request. He was very professional and I would absolutely use their service again. The unsightly hole in my kitchen was patched very well."

"The tech. discovered 3 heads not working properly and offered to replace them for $65.00 plus labor. He proceeded to install and adjust them in 15 minutes. The total time here was just under 1 hour. The reason I didn't give them an A overall is when I received the invoice they charged me for 2 hours labor at $50.00 per hour. When I called about it I explained the situation and told them I would pay for 1 hour but not 2. The person later called me back and said they would send me a new invoice with just 1 hour labor charged.
