"Vargas tuckpointed my entire house and inside and outside of my garage. Approximately 4,000 plus square feet of tuckpointing. They used a dark black color mortar as required for my historical neighborhood. The work was done in a workmanlike manner, and I am happy with the result. Vargas was one of the two lowest bidders for the work out of 5 bids I received."

"I thought my brick needed work but Taylor's Tuckpointing said it looked fine and they ended up re-caulking my windows for me instead. Prompt, friendly, and fair price."

"I appreciate everything you did for me in getting a new roof because of wind damage. These pictures enable me to see the before and after views of my roof. And also to show them to my family and friends. Your company did an excellent job with tear off, while installing, and clean up. You have an excellent staff and you are an excellent project manager. Thank you,"

"Bone Dry started the job early on Monday morning and was done by mid-day on Tuesday. All the old shingles were removed on both structures. Then the crew installed new shingles, roof vents, counter flashing for both chimneys on the house, and new shingles on the garage. After the job was finished they did a very thorough cleanup of the ground around the house. I am happy we chose Bone Dry again to do this project. The new roofs look great and I am sure the buyer will be pleased."

"My driveway was very discolored with some pock marks, and it was detrimental to the appearance of my home.  Based on other reviews and pictures, I decided to resurface the concrete with an epoxy stone coating.  Gary Meyer of ESI was very responsive to my request and came out to examine my property.  He explained the whole process to me.  He also arranged for mudjacking for my walkway and driveway to prepare for the project.  The work was completed in a professional and timely manner, and there was no mess left behind.  The finished product was gorgeous.  My family, friends and neighbors couldn't believe how good it looks.  I have received many compliments, and it has greatly improved the overall curb appeal of my property.  I would highly recommend ESI. "

"I was so happy with the work done by Basile and Jim Thomes on my back retaining wall, I contracted them to construct a new front retaining wall.  He managed to stay within my budget and provide the look I was striving to achieve.  It is a big plus for me when I can leave someone to do the work I hired them to do as I had to leave town before they finished.  As it rained on them the last day, when I returned I needed them to level the sod a little better and remove part of the maple's root that became exposed.  They responded promptly and all is well. <br />"

"Work went well with Cochran Concrete. It was completed in a timely, workman like manner. The concrete contractor shared a concrete material discount with us and a neighbor recommended by us. I firmly believe you have to choose between two alternatives when selecting a contractor - good or cheap. I was happy with the selection of Cochrans Concrete."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Caseyville, IL

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
