My call was promptly returned & I was honestly told I would be contacted if an opening presented itself. Within a few hours & much to my delight after a restless night of sleep, I was called & my central air was promptly & accurately repaired. These guys are top notch professionals as well as knowledgeable. Hvac Doctor is now going to be my new ongoing routine maintenance technician as well. Search no more, call Hvac Doctor! "We called on a Sunday for the A/C repair service. Pronto was able to schedule a Monday (next day) service appointment. They were prompt, communicated what needed to be done, and fixed it. I was so impressed that I asked them if they could do a tune up on both the A/C and furnace, which they performed the next day. Brandon did both the repair and the tune-ups. He was excellent. I will definitely use Pronto again and would recommend them to others."

"WARNING - make sure you get a fully price estimate up front before they begin to do work. I brought them in to work on furnace/AC unit/split AC unit servicing garage (based on a promotional price for the first two). It was found my split unit needed a recharge for coolant and I was told that it'd only be 5 lbs of coolant and that this would be priced by the pound (which was reasonable). The bill came and they tacked on a flat charge of $219 for the coolant (this is in addition to the $129 charge to look over the split unit). I felt baited-and-switched. I also contacted them about this, and the answer came down to "This is additional profit for us added onto your bill." Not pleased. At all. Particularly since the coolant in question costs approximately $6 per pound and they only used 5 lbs (one would assume that the $129 charge built in enough profit for labor/licenses/equipment due to the limited time spent working on the split unit. Apparently not). Comfort By Design does excellent work, and they do stand by their work, but just be VERY CAREFUL in finding out what they're going to charge you, particularly if something extra comes up when they're doing a job."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."
