"The installation crew came on time and started by putting down protective cloths on the floor. We had three exhaust fans replaced and the work went as planned - the fans were over thirty years old and one was making a lot of noise, so we decided to just replace the other two as a pro-active measure. The installation crew and the estimator were all great."

"Our son-in-law used their services and referred them to us. First time users of this type of service as we are new to the area.
Excellent office staff scheduled initial appointment, called with a reminder then a follow-up call to ensure the work was complete and we were satisfied.
The technician arrived ahead of schedule, prepped the lines for winter and reviewed all work completed prior to leaving.Very friendly and efficient.

"This company was amazing to work with! The technicians that came out were very friendly and helpful. Finished product looked great and their pricing compared to other local vendors was amazing. I went with this company based on reviews and word of mouth and so far I have not been disappointed. Even after a new furnace install, my heat pump was causing issues. They sent techs out the following two days and worked diligently to solve the problem. All of my questions were answered. I will be using Hurliman again in the future! Thank you to Bart, Cade, Jerry and Eric for all you did!"

"Cassie, the service person from Aire Serv, did an outstanding job. She clearly knew her job and was able to explain everything to me in a way that made me feel comfortable and confidant. I've used other heating and air conditioner companies in the past and felt they did an okay job but never felt the service people were up to the level of this person, or felt they were pressuring me to buy something. There was no pressure from Cassie.
I will use Aire Serve in the future and, based on what Cassie told me, I have confidence all their people are good, but I will request her for future service.

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Coeur D Alene, ID

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
