"I called several companies to price the installation of a water heater, and chose Modern Plumbing not only because the price quoted was very competitive but because Brian S., the owner, gave me frank and sensible advice on what type of water heater I needed. They picked up the water heater I purchased from Home Depot, installed it with a drain pan, and hauled away the old one. Brian even checked out my sump pump and advised me that the discharge pipe was obstructed and that I needed to take care of that or risk the pump motor burning out. I couldn't have been more pleased with the professional, friendly, and efficient service."

"Vince told me outdoor spigot could be repaired and did not need to be replaced which saved me money. He also replaced a vanity faucet which I provided. He was quick, efficient and honest. The most important thing was he discovered a serious problem with the way my water heater was vented. The exhaust pipe had been cut wrong and glued together. It was ready to come apart and could have vented carbon monoxide into the basement. "Well let me start by saying I called several water heater companies to inquire about an estimate for my hot water heater that was not getting real hot. He was the ONLY repair person to come out that gave me the feeling he was trying to fix my hot water heater and not trying to sale me a new hot water. Everbody tried to get me to buy something called elements without actually trying to fix my heater. Wallace plumbing was able to identify some pressure thing or something with the thermostat that he fixed and saved me pontially thousands of dollars that other companies tried to sales pitch me. I then called Wallace plumbing because my toliet kept running and Wallace came out and fixed my toliet in minutes and his prices are very affordable. I will be using Wallace plumbing for any future needs and I recommend them!"

Heil Plumbing had great reviews, so I gave them a call at 6:10 am, hoping they would be able to schedule a repair soon. They checked their day's schedule, called me back in 15 minutes, and scheduled a plumber to arrive at my house between 9 and 10 am. Jose arrived even earlier, at 8:45. He assessed the problem, removed the broken line, and replaced it with a new supply line he had in his truck. The problem was repaired and we had our water back on in less than 15 minutes. It was a basic, straightforward repair, but I was impressed with the how quickly Heil Plumbing was able to schedule and complete the repair, and with Jose's professional attitude. The cost of $135 may seem like a lot for a simple job, but we needed it done quickly, and the price was in line with, or even a little less expensive than the cost of similar repairs by other companies I read about on Angie's List. Jose suggested some improvements for the future, like replacing the plastic pipe the previous owners installed in the 1990s, which we already knew about and plan to do someday. I am very pleased with Heil Plumbing's service, I will call them again if we have any problems in the future, and I'll certainly call them for an estimate when we are ready to do those plumbing improvements.
