"On Monday, August 18, 2025, at approximately 12:00 PM, a technician named Paxton Geng from Mr. Rooter visited my home to provide a quote for a leaking spigot. I was not home at the time, so my wife communicated with him while I was on the phone. After concluding our conversation and right before leaving, Mr. Geng asked to use my wife's phone under the pretense of showing her a few things. My wife, who has limited English proficiency, allowed him to do so. He had her phone for about a minute. When she received it back, the screen showed a "Thanks for the review" page from Google. My wife navigated back and discovered that Mr. Geng had left himself a five-star review from her phone. He included a comment that is attached in the accompanying photo. This action is a severe invasion of privacy and an act of impersonation. I immediately contacted Mr. Rooter to report the incident and spoke with a manager named Steve. He assured me he would look into the matter, make things right, and call me the following morning. I waited two weeks, calling him daily without a response. I called a company and they said my gas control valve was broke and told me it would cost me $700-800 to replace and the gas leak would be fixed. They checked to make sure all my lines were properly sealed and found that the leak was coming from the gas control valve but did not need replaced. They only charged me $250.
