"I recently had the pleasure of working with Bill and Dave on a renovation project at my home. This was our most ambitious project yet, as we wanted to maximize the existing space to create an entirely new master bathroom and walk-in closet. From start to finish, the entire process was incredibly professional and stress free. Bill was especially dedicated in finding creative solutions to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted for our home. His attention to detail was one of the many impressive things about his work ethic. Not only did he deliver a stunning master bathroom, but he also successfully relocated our laundry room from the basement up to the second floor. "My husband and I were so patient, and gave BRC every opportunity and benefit of the doubt. A few warnings for others: ~The staff will not show up, we the customer had to follow-up half way into the day to see if they are showing up. ~A timeline of 1-2 weeks took 5 weeks Honestly it’s still not complete. An example is the ceiling. We can see the drywall through the coating, but we don’t even want to deal with it anymore. ~The carpet was not what we wanted, AT ALL. We text the owner pictures and got something completely different. Also, the cheapest pad when we asked for the thickest they make. We weren’t shown the carpet choice until they already installed it. The owner said due to the pandemic selection was limited. ~The owner lost the paint chip. We had to find a new one for the contractors. ~Left dry pieces in the utility closet that we now have to dispose of. ~Some special design over the sump pump was to be removal, only the top lid removes. Replacing will be a blast. ~The final straw the the final day the finishing touches (after already being finished) was due to take place. It was a he said, she said, who was coming show. Finally at 4pm someone arrived. ~Even better is the owner and manager has not contacted for a follow up from being complete. He has not done a final walk thru. We made the mistake of paying him before it was finished. Quality=average after requesting multiple fixes. They did not self identify any issues. The company over promises and under delivers."

"Howard Troyer and his team did a fantastic job. We wanted to redo a large part of our first floor by removing a wall, cutting back soffits, redoing ceiling, stair and loft railings, new baseboard, patio door, fireplace mantel and flooring, a large amount of painting and electrical, and second floor carpet. His team also installed several new kitchen appliances. He had 3 regular staff working full time for well over a month, plus various specialty contractors as needed. Everyone who worked on our project was very hard working, trustworthy and reliable. Howard showed up very often to review progress and help us make various key decisions as work progressed and various issues arose. A very strong point in Howard's favor was his incredibly prompt response to all our phone calls, text messages and emails. We also employed an interior designer and Howard worked very well with her, with many great ideas resulting from their interaction. The end result of our project continues to amaze us every day. We would gladly utilize Howard and HT Builders again for any sort of home improvement projects."
