He was able to drain the pool safely from all the debris, and repair any damage concrete, resurface and painted the pool. He also replaced the motor on the filter and re-piped all the pool lines. "It was a great experience over all. The weather seemed to NOT cooperate with us though, but there is nothing you can do about that. What was supposed to be about two to three week job turned into a little over a month, it just kept on raining. At any rate Darrick and his workers were very friendly and professional. The deck was the first thing to get done, we were very happy with the results; it turned out better than we imagined. Darrick walked us through every step he made; showing us the wood he was using, and decking screws as well. He would stop work and have us check what he was doing to make sure it was what we were looking for. The back splash turned out wonderful as well. Jason, I believe his name was, was very clean and made sure that there was plastic on the floor and counter to protect from dirt and scratching. Jason cut all the tiles outside to keep the dust out of the house. The tile work is great! The concrete is what took the longest. As soon as we would be ready to pour, there would be rain in the forecast. He did not want to pour in the rain and Mike and I agreed. About two weeks after the original concrete pouring date it was poured and done. I have to say it looks beautiful. It is stamped and stained and looks perfect! My husbands grill and smoker look sharp on it. The fence was the last thing to get done, and that only took two days. Had it not rained everything would have been done sooner. However, Darrick called, or e-mailed me to keep me in the know and I would hire A & M General Contracting again in a heart beat!!!

Arrived on time, had to leave and get materials.  When they built steps using riser, we wanted larger platform at door, so instead of making it even they have one step about 1-1/2 inches below the top step where it is wider.  Actually created trip hazard.  I had sent Randy an e-mail about the work being unsatisfactory, along with pictures to show what the problem was.  He did respond and said he would be out and do it himself within the following week or two.  Haven't heard from him since. 

I do know that Randy used to do an excellent job as I used him for several projects back a couple of years ago.  I believe that he has grown so quickly that the people he has now hired just do not have the expertise that Randy has and do not take pride in their work.

Randy came by to correct the problems we had with the steps.  The stairs are perfect now and exactly what we wanted.  As I had stated earlier Randy has always done an excellent job and have always been pleased with the work performed in the past.  I will definitely use Harward Construction again.  As stated earlier, I think sometimes when a business is growing, not all people working take pride in their work, but Randy has proven that he stands behind his work and will work hard to correct a things that are not done right.  Very pleased with results.

"What started as a repair request to water damaged ceiling area grew into a complete re-do of the main living areas of our home. We had been planning on doing interior painting and removal of old carpet with replacement in hardwood but couldn't quite fathom the process. While speaking with Mr. Ammons about the feasibility of doing all of this work, Mr. Ammons provided excellent suggestions and guidance. Project included: removal of old sliding door and replaced with insulated patio door; repair shoddy drywall work before painting; repairing and re-applying textured ceiling 'paint' to match rest of ceiling; painting multiple and high ceiling walls with odd angles; painting trim through out and adding shoe molding after installing 3/4 in hickory hardwoods. About 90% of the way toward finishing, our chimney leak re-appeared - Mr. Ammons and crew immediately climbed up on the roof to cover the chimney in the pouring rain. The next day they tackled removing the cap and finding the source of the leak (after a roofer had supposedly sealed the chimney chase and cap a couple of years ago...). As the final piece of the project, Mr. Ammons tackled the steps separating the living room from the hall and dining areas. The craftsmanship is excellent throughout, but the steps really stand out as well done work. We are very pleased with the final outcome."
